Room and staff were exceptional Nothing

Good location for us coming straight from the train. They kept our bags for us while we waited for our train to leave florence. The room was not as pictured online. The two beds pushed together to make one double bed was pretty uncomfortable. The room we were in there was a man doing some sort of work right outside our door.

The hosts are very nice people. The rooms is nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is also quite good. We were able to work in the breakfast room until 12.

This is a family-run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is both convenient and quiet. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room during the summer heat. I suggest providing a standing fan to compensate, as the current unit is slightly undersized for the space. Other than this, it was a perfect stay.

We chose Hotel Joli for its location and short distance from the train station. The room was as advertised and met all our needs. I liked the old style elevator. The hotel had a morning breakfast with protein sandwiches, pastries, fruit, and other misc. items. And most important to my wife, cappuccino and for me, breakfast tea & honey. But what I liked best of all was the friendly and accommodating owner/manager. Two thumbs up!!

I have gone on a trip of one month with about 10 hotels and this is by far the best one, and the breakfast is superb. Great room. There were absolutely no problems in the hotel. It was amazing - great location, excellent staff and amazing breakfast.

Honestly, there was not much I liked about this hotel. The woman who welcomed us was very nice, but we only saw her when we arrived. She did not check on us, and there was no way to contact her from our hotel room when we needed something. The location was central to hot spots in Florence and to the train station, BUT the surrounding area was not very safe. Hotel Joli was a huge disappointment. We were traveling as a family of eight—four adults and four children—and this hotel made what should have been an enjoyable stay unnecessarily stressful. To start, Hotel Joli occupies a building shared with another hotel and private apartments, which made the experience feel disorganized from the moment we arrived. The lobby is not on the ground floor but in a tiny room on the third floor. Reaching it required using an extremely small, hand-operated elevator that could fit only one or two people with a couple of suitcases. In the afternoon heat, our family had to make multiple trips just to check in with all of our luggage. To make matters worse, despite booking as one group, we were split between two different floors alongside other guests. There seemed to be no consideration given to keeping our family together. For a group with children, this was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating. The hotel also has no common spaces whatsoever—no restaurant, no bar, no lounge, not even a seating area where families or groups can gather. Because of the intense heat outside, we spent more time at the hotel than we had anticipated, yet we had no choice but to remain isolated in our separate rooms instead of spending time together. Our room had several serious maintenance issues. The bathroom had a persistent, unpleasant odor that appeared to be coming from the toilet. Even worse, there were gaps around the window doors that allowed mosquitoes to enter the room all night. We were repeatedly bitten while trying to sleep. There wasn't even a blanket provided, so we couldn't comfortably adjust the air conditioning. If we kept the room cooler, we had nothing to cover ourselves with. If we raised the temperature, the mosquitoes became unbearable. We eventually had to stuff towels around the window doors ourselves just to reduce the number getting into the room.

The location proximate to the train station and the duomo was perfect. We had the included breakfast and quite enjoyed the fresh fruit, sandwiches and of course the tiramisu. The staff was wonderful, and very helpful, providing us everything we needed. It was very hot during our stay and we like it very cool in the room. It took a few hours to get the room to a comfortable temperature upon our return in the evenings.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Hotel Joli. The location is great, only about 4-5 minute easy walk from Santa Maria train station. Also, a short walk to many sights in Florence. We felt very safe in this area. We came in around 2:30pm and were allowed to check into our room early. The room was comfortable, clean and with good A/C. We also paid for the breakfast which was excellent!

Towels, bathroom was a little old

Perfectly located within a few minutes walk away from major attractions like the Mercato, Piazza della Signoria museums etc. Round the corner from Stazione SMN, so very convenient. Pretty room and excellent breakfast. Wi-Fi is very patchy

Location is close to the station Breakfast is delicious and offers a lot of options. Croissant, cake, yogurt, etc Room is spacious for 4 adults Staffs are friendly

we left the old-fashioned elevator, the friendly staff with coffee service when we get there, in the quiet clean room. for €18 you can get a nice breakfast and you can sit out on a terrace and look over Florence.

Extremely helpful staff, beautiful rooms, very convenient right by the train station. Chiara at the front desk was especially lovely.

The staff at this hotel are so wonderful and made me feel right at home. They were so sweet and kind. The hotel is well-located, close to the main sights and the train station, but quiet. The place was clean, sunny and I would stay again in a heartbeat. Wifi was fast. Breakfast was stellar! Highly recommend. Not much to complain about.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent — very close to the train station and only about 10 minutes from the centre of Florence. There are also many restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. The room was very cosy and had everything we needed. The mattress was extremely comfortable, and we slept very well every night. Breakfast each morning was perfect, especially the delicious cappuccino :) This is a lovely family-run hotel with very caring people. Whatever you need, they are always happy to help and accommodate you. We truly felt at home during our stay. Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again! ————
