The place was perfect. Exceptional, really. Delightful host and friendly staff. Santa Croce is my favorite neighborhood so I might be biased about the great location. Secret special. bonus: There's an elevator. The height of luxury when traveling with heavy luggage in medieval cities. The auto-response to inquiries and requests caused me to think I had been scammed by another false listing. Thankfully customer service was able to contact the property directly and everything turned out even better than originally expected. I think the issue might be a mistake on the host end, not knowing where to put certain messages in the listing form. The auto message I received might work well under "directions to property". It was very problematic as a response to real time questions and my need to contact the property.

The location. It was within walking distance of the Duomo Ponte Vecchio and all the main attractions. There were plenty of lovely trattorias within walking distance which had great food and ambiance. It’s on the first floor of a building but it does have a lift convenient for luggage.

We enjoyed how spacious our triple room was and the nice bathroom with roomy shower and bidet. The breakfast room was lovely with a lot of food options, including cooked eggs. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. We didn’t like that staff left at 17:30 so no one at desk for evening check-in (though self check-in instructions were very good) or for evening assistance/security. We didn’t like that our window looked out into a shaft full of scaffolding and construction debris. The room decor was very basic (just cheap frames hanging crooked on the white walls…why not some simple framed posters or pictures of Florence)? The atrium and elevator up to the hotel door was dark and could use some sprucing up.

    Nice location within Florence N/A

Staff was very helpful, clean room w comfy bed and nice shower. Bfast was not included and I must have misunderstood because I only book places w bfast. Location was in a safe place close to San Croce but a good walk to Duomo and Piazza Vecchio. Ok for us but might be far for some.

It was very humid in the room and the room didn’t get very cool, despite trying to get the temperature down. A couple of then nights a guest was loud in the hallway.

Location great. Staff excellent. A/C wasn’t turned on yet for the year. Room was quite stuffy. We opened the window but it was extremely noisy w motorbikes and cars on the street. Also my wife got destroyed by mosquitos. Room was quite basic as was the breakfast.

Great location, wonderful breakfast, clean and the staff was amazing. I would highly recommend. Nothing

Room was clean enough "free" breakfast was a joke - only dry cereal (I didn't even see milk) was available. There was a toaster behind a counter that was upside down. Also a non-functioning expresso machine. Pastry container was empty. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7:30. There was no one working on-site until at least 8 am. Because we were planning to leave the first morning for an early tour, we were offered a 'breakfast to go' bag. The bag contained white bread sandwiches, oranges, a half rotten banana and bottle of water. We kept the water and put the rest in the garbage. The wi-fi didn't work the entire time we were there. The first day they said it would be available the next day. They didn't bother to tell us on day 2 that it still would not be available. When we mentioned it at checkout, they were unconcerned. One of our electrical outlets was dead when we arrived and was needed for a sleep apnea machine. The person at reception left for the day anyway just after 5 pm but told us a handyman would be along. He came - he was filthy - his hands were black - and he left marks on everything he touched, including my bed. He talked to himself in Italian the entire time coming and going. At one point, he shocked himself and threw the tool that was in his hand. Then finished and just showed me a screen with google translate saying the wifi would work the next day (which it did not). The towels were cheap, thin and scratchy. There was no one onsite between 5 pm and 8 am. Who knows who else had access but we would hear footsteps and doors closing. Unsafe in my opinion and more than a little strange.

Walkable to most all sites. Quaint and small. Towels had stains, leather couches were worn in lobby , hair in sink and shower didn't work right during stay

Staff was helpful and nice to be around. There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like—while the rooms could be improved, the value for the price we paid definitely exceeded expectations.

    Beautiful

Well situated slightly away from all the touristy areas, but still within walking distance to most. Room was fairly simple but comfortable, with everything we needed. Breakfast was great; we liked having fresh cooked eggs and espresso made to order, and the pastries were yummy! Very nice and helpful staff; good restaurant recommendations and advice about taking local public transport. We arrived quite late and it was very simple to enter the hotel and find our room - instructions were very clear. Nothing!

The staff and the facilities. The breakfast was very well served. Nothing about the property. But the bus line was not ok. Try to take a taxy is better.

There were no slippers and we also couldn't turn on the heating. I froze.
