The rooftop and facilities are better than some view points you would pay for. Fantastic hosts and really informative.

Location Booked in haste at last minute without properly checking the reviews (some negative points are well founded). The lift to the third floor is miniscule - expect to walk up three giant flights of stairs if you don’t like small spaces. The lift also made a loud noise in my room whenever it was used, waking me in the morning. Very poor state of repair - ripped curtain, holes in wall (see photos). A coat of paint and basic repairs/upkeep are long overdue. Layer of dust on the fabric adorning the four-poster bed. Bathroom was old, tiny and dark, and I found hair (not mine) on the floor. Although management was entirely absent after check-in, I still felt observed. Someone (whom I hadn’t previously met) appeared suddenly through a locked door late one evening in the semi-dark as I was unlocking my door, and disappeared just as quickly - as if checking on me. They didn’t greet me until I had done so first. For someone travelling alone, this was unnerving/uncomfortable.

Lovely classic florentine hotel with a wonderful host. So friendly and welcoming and a 8 minute walk to the centre The air con struggled with the extreme heat which made sleeping at night quite difficult

The location is excellent, right in the center of Florence and within walking distance of the main attractions. We arrived late in the evening, but check-in was smooth and not a problem at all. We were welcomed by a very kind lady who showed us around the property and our room. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated in a traditional Italian style. The canopy bed, high ceilings, and elegant bathroom created a charming atmosphere. Everything was very clean and well maintained. There is also a lovely terrace with a great view where guests can enjoy dinner in the evening. Another nice feature is the shared kitchen and dining area, where guests can make tea or coffee, enjoy some complimentary snacks, and even try a local liqueur. There is also an honesty bar with alcoholic drinks available for purchase. Unfortunately, despite all these positive aspects, our experience at check-out left a very negative impression and significantly affected my overall rating. After checking out, we were allowed to leave our luggage for a few hours before our train departure. When we returned to collect it, we paid the city tax and asked the owner whether we could sit in the dining area for an hour or two to eat the food we had just bought before heading to the station. We were not asking for any additional services, only a place to sit at a table for a short time. The owner, who had already kept us waiting outside because our WhatsApp messages went unanswered for quite a while, seemed clearly unhappy to see us. He vaguely explained that this was “not a hotel” and that we could not stay there. It felt as if, the moment we had paid everything owed, we were no longer considered guests. As a result, we ended up sitting outside the building with our suitcases, eating our sandwiches on the street. What made this particularly disappointing was that throughout our stay and in the property’s description there was a strong emphasis on hospitality, flexibility, and the idea that guests

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Location was amazing, staff was SO kind and provided so many recommendations. Hotel is so cute and lovely. Already already recommended to family members who are traveling to Florence.

A true Florence gem. Daniele and Alessia are wonderful hosts who make you feel more like a guest in their home than a visitor at a hotel. Their local recommendations were spot-on, and the rooftop terrace was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The hotel sits just beyond the heart of the city, about 10 minutes walk from the Duomo and a longer walk to Piazzale Michelangelo, which gave it a quieter, more neighborhood feel. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe. An unforgettable stay! Wasn’t a problem for me, but other travelers may want to be aware of the walking distance to places like Piazzale Michelangelo (45 minute walk).
