City Budget Hotel

Exceptional

Compact, convenient, completely what I needed. Even if I could have used a table to work from, since I was in Sydney for work, I was able to make it work in this hotel. The room is freshly renovated, the bathroom and a second sink in the room was useful for filling water bottles and separating food from bathroom stuff. The WIFI was extraordinarily fast and perfect for getting work done, even if I had to improvise at a workspace. Had a nice view out the window as well and although there is no lift to the floors above the entry, I was on the first floor, thankfully! A desk to work from, but I know that's a niche thing, so wasn't really expecting it. I stayed here for the location really.

Location and the staff were very friendly. The images on the booking were deceptive, I thought the room was going to be larger but it was such a shoebox there was barely space for a desk. The bathroom was equally tiny. For the price the room was way too small.

Loved our stay in the city budget hotel!! The larger room with the balcony was great for our 4 night stay, it was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were fantastic, beds were comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Location was great with lots of restaurants and cafes around. Would definitely stay again :) Had no issues

Good location and affordable. This hotel is inappropriate for families. We booked the family room and it stunk of cigarettes, the thirdhand smoke in the room was palpable and unsafe for an infant. We asked to move rooms which the hotel staff accommodated but the other room also smelt of smoke, but not as potent as the first room. There is also no elevator which wasn’t a huge problem but not easy to get pram and luggage up and down with a child in arms.

Room was large enough and beds were comfy. Location was good and central. Self check in was great and felt secure enough with the code system for the rooms. Mouldy smell when we entered; had to leave window open for entire stay to clear the smell (in the middle of winter :/ ). Bathroom flooded after every (short) shower out of the bathroom onto the carpet (explaining the mouldy smell)

Convience to the city and tourist destinations The room we were in was pretty noisy from the outside traffic, also didn't realise it didn't have an elevator which made it difficult especially after long days Aircon didn't really seem to do much and the shower head was constantly leaking, otherwise overall it was a decent stay

Allowed us to keep bags in the foyer as we were early, close to the city centre.
