People having a party and smoking pot in front of hotel when we went to check in. Still waiting on refund.

Nothing really The hotel keys were used as well as the hotel key holder, the sheets had stains, the bathroom was very outdated, the toilet ran all night, the bed was very uncomfortable

Very poor

The bathroom door did not shut and door knob was falling off. The room door did not close well and needed to be pulled shut. Linens had "pink" stains on them. Linens were also damp as if washed but not dried. Room had damp smell to it.

There was large amounts of mold growing from the ceiling

Room smelled like piss

Was a non smoking room but I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel room that smelled worse. Moldy shower curtain. Dirty walls and bathroom.

Couldn’t give us the room we booked (booked a double queen, only had a single king left) and our room smelled musty and damp. The whole hotel is just run down looking with areas that had unfinished framing and walls were beat up.

Passable

Check in time was at 3, we had to wait almost 2 hours to get in because cleaning was not done. Seemed like they were short staffed at front counter and cleaning. The sign out side said ameriinn so it was confusing right from the beginning

The room was

There was a guy getting removed as I was checking …. He had a Cat in his room and he freaked out getting asked to leave…. Then a lady had her stuff stolen and a cop came…. Wild night in coralville I guess 😁

I’m not one to typically do reviews but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. The first room I was put into smelled horribly like weed. Immediately asked to be moved rooms. The second room I was put into smelled damp like old wet towels and there was mold on the lampshades and bed skirts. The door was so swollen from moisture and heat it would not close once I got into the room. I asked again to be moved and was put into a room that had loose change on the bed, a sock underneath the bed skirt, and mold in the fridge and along the corners of the bed skirts. There was no shampoo or lotion or other amenities in the room only two small bottles of conditioner and a bar of soap. It smelled like something was burning in the room most likely the air conditioner. The air conditioner was not on in the room and it was extremely hot at humid. When I turned the air conditioner on it made a thumping noise all night long. There were wads of chewed gum on the steps between floors and the faucets were falling off in the shower. Very dirty and unkempt the only reason I stayed was because I was told there would be no refunds issued once purchased. Would 10/10 NOT RECOMMEND.

Exceptional

The pool was closed, very little breakfast.

The 2 room suites were a nice surprise

I booked a room with 2 queen beds for my son and I, but was given a room with a king bed with a hot tub right next to it. It was unexpected and a little awkward. The room looked and smelled like it wasn't vacuumed often. Breakfast was lacking with few choices. We also stayed at the Country Inn and Suites across from them and it was definitely better (their pool was open).

Great

My room was not clean. There was chicken on the floor up against the bed. Roaches was seen in the bathroom. The lady at the front desk was very rude to us, but was very pleasant with others. One of the lamps in my room had wires sticking out of it.
