Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbus Univ Area - Osu by IHG

The room was spacious, the staff was cordial. Mold in bathroom, creaky bed, elevators and dining area crowded, hot tub wasn’t hot just lukewarm. Wasn’t aware of $15 parking charge which was unacceptable

Pictures of hotel rooms and lobbies were accurate and looked even better in person. Hotel was really well maintained and room was cleanly. The gated parking lot felt secure as well and rates were reasonable. Nothing really. Parking lot should probably be free of charge for guests but nothing beyond that.

Nice and quiet decent area For strands of hair in the bed one of the towels was dirty but folded up and placed as if it was clean. Don’t understand why you have to pay a $10 parking fee they claim it’s cause the parking lot is gated for your car safety but yet your still able to get in threw the other side so if someone wanted to do something to your car they still can

Did not like the fact I had to pay $15.00 to park my car at a hotel where I'm already paying over a $100.00 a night to stay. I get to my room to find out the tv was not working because it was unplugged and the cable line was also unplugged. This was my second time at this hotell and I will not be staying there again.

Didnt stay there. Place dirty and lobby smelled like cigarettes. Staff lazy and unaccomidating. Required paying for on site parking. Gates locked after 10 so you have to wait for someone to open gate to leave or reenter the property.

This is a Holiday Inn Express in name ONLY. It does not have the same holiday inn express finishes nor customer service or atmosphere. Even the breakfast was off script with Kano items added to the breakfast. It appears to be booked by long term "travelers" or people living in the hotel. Only ONE elevator and they charge you for parking. It seems be owned? And or operated by a family that do not employ HIE talent. Mold in bathrooms - cracks in bathrooms tiles etc. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Upon arrival the facility was dark - the one receptionist was on the phone for 5 min before greeting us. In the meantime another customer stopped by at ask if there was water it "went off when my girlfriend was showering ". According to staff the water was due to power outage to which the customer said "because of the power???" Yes - the generator is now running. Do not stay here.

Good property near osu campus with nice gym and decent free breakfast. Only thing that stuck in the craw was being greeted at the front desk with an extra parking fee for “gated parking” $15/night. There were no gates to get in but the exit has one so essentially just a cash grab. Overall solid comparatively speaking with other hotels in this price range near campus.

It was move-in week for OSU students so I liked the close proximity to campus while helping my daughter with her new apartment. Also the staff was very friendly and room was extremely clean. I booked for 3 nights at a fairly expensive cost of $640 total, but I guess the prices were jacked up for OSU move-in week.The rate included free cancellation up to 4pm the day of check-in; however, two days before check-in I wanted to cancel the first night only. It was impossible to do, because Booking.com requires you to cancel the entire reservation and in calling the hotel, they would not allow me to cancel the first night, period. So I had to pay full price for a room that I didn't check in to until the next evening. The room I booked was upgraded to a suite because no others were available, but it faced Olentangy River Rd. where traffic is extremely loud day and night. So, I didn't get the best sleep unfortunately.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was large enough for my family. Breakfast was good. The pool was not clean and the towels in that area were never stocked. The staff attempted to charge us for our service animal upon arrival even though the animal was vested and we had contacted the hotel ahead of time. There was never an attendant watching for vehicles that shouldn’t have been parked in the lot as we were told there would be and we never had a handicap parking space during our stay.

Nothing We weren't given the room we booked. Outlets and charge points didn't work. There were roaches running around. The beds we're uncomfortable.

The breakfast For starters, the gentleman that Work Night Shift was extremely rude after booking online. There was additional fees and deposits that were required when you got there, even though Booking.com already took those fees and told you to report if you had to pay it and then when you check out, they don’t wanna give you receipts and tell you your deposit will be put back in your bank account but two weeks later you’ve still not received your deposit and no one will respond. You can’t swim in the pole due to the amount of chlorine in it. It’s so strong you can’t even walk in the room and did I mention the employees are rude.
