SpringHill Suites by Marriott Clearwater Beach

I love that the hotel offers a free breakfast. Location is superb, close to the beach and the boat activities. The staff are accommodating and very nice. Housekeeping were very efficient and turned in the phone that I left. Despite the construction they were respectful and gave us notices when we checked in. I wish they couldve posted it online about their ongoing construction.

Room was extremely clean, housekeeping lady was very busy every single day doing every room (and they were many) we even ask her don’t do our room because we don’t have problem fixing our own room but anyway she cleaned BRAVO staff always very friendly especially the Valet parking peoples off Super quick to bring our car every time, Breakfast was superior like a restaurant,so many variety every day and the time 6-10 is a plus, and very close to the beach (Perfect)

washer dryers did not take cash. All the dryers was broke after I had already washed my clothes. But they did try them for me for free since of the inconvenience. But I had already loaded the money to the car so now I just have $10 on the app that I’ll never use.

Nice pool area and just a 5 min walk to the beach and overlooking the marina. Close to the pier and plenty of places to eat. We were only told 10 days before once we had already paid in full that renovations were happening…these were major including the pool being closed and at another hotel, lifts being out of service, the sound of drilling in public areas, the breakfast area closed and it being housed in a conference room. This was all disappointing.

Clean room, location close to the beach Customer service by one assistant general manger was atrocious and vindictive. It was the complete opposite off customer service. He said he would help with a double booking issue, but never did and refused to provide his manager’s name and contact info when asked. When pressed for his managers name he deactivated our room and left us stranded. He showed no empathy or compassion for our situation. Required valet parking not clearly communicated at time of reservation, otherwise I would have booked a reservation elsewhere. Continental breakfast was fair. The food was bland and the options were few. They quit bringing food out 30 minutes before breakfast ended even with dining room full. There were long lines for the coffee because the two coffee machines took forever to brew a cup of coffee and it wasn’t even good.

I really loved the setup of the rooms. Very roomy! The hotel was under construction at the time of my visit so I'm sure that impacted my impressions. I'm assuming check in was relocated to the parking garage level because of construction. It was pretty cramped and hot in that space. The breakfast buffet was set up in what looked like a small conference room and it was PACKED. I didn't bother even attempting to get breakfast and just grabbed a banana and a muffin because it was a mob scene. The hotel is in a good location - pretty central to everything downtown. It is NOT on the beach however. You have to cross the street and then walk a couple blocks to get to the beach. I was not expecting this based on the description on Expedia. Parking is $40 a night ($38 + $2.66 tax) whether you use valet or not. Overall it was clean and served the purpose. Next time I would book the Hyatt or Wyndham Gardens though.

The location was great all you need within walking distance, Room was very nice and we arrived 4 hours beofre check in and the room was already available. Great service , kids loved the pool area . They were renovating so we could not get the full experience but im sure when it is finished it will be well worth it.

Even under construction the hotel was fantastic. Couldn't beat the location to the beach, the view or the friendly staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good. The location to everything was great and very walkable. They even had cocktails by the pool!

i do not know if it´s a hotel standard nowadays, but we have to insist to have our room cleaned after the second day of our stay. I will come back!

Exactly what I expect from a hotel

Good breakfast, great location near the beach and the shops and restaurants. Worn out pool with no support staff, beach chair cushions left on heavy rain, so they were soaked wet for days.
