The Wade

Asked for room on top floor didn’t get it. Elevators were ridiculously slow at one or even two times I had to wait almost 15 minutes for elevator only to have to wait even longer as elevators were all full.

The lobby felt so classy and the whole hotel had this sort of dark ambiance with warm lighting which felt calm and inviting. To go along, the check in process was quick and to the point. When getting off the elevator of the floor where my room was at, the corridors were beautifully thought through and followed the brand of the hotel. Then, opening the door to my room for the night was a great feeling starting with the view of downtown Chicago which was incredible, especially at night. The room and bathroom were very clean, no complaints whatsoever. The wade also offered great amenities like the heated indoor pool which closed pretty late as well as the fitness center. The Ohio street beach was also an 4-5 minute or less walk away from the hotel, sadly it was raining the whole day but we still enjoyed the indoor pool after dinner. Overall me and my partner really enjoyed our short trip at the wade in downtown Chicago and we will definitely keep this hotel in mind when we go back to Chicago.

The hotel itself was very clean. The rooms are spacious and the lake view is incredible. This was my second time staying here and I loved it all over again. This time I stayed for my birthday and the staff gave me vouchers for a free breakfast and a free drink.

The location was close to lake front. Coffee shops etc.. My personal stay could have been handled better my the hotel staff. Once it was handled poorly I tried to stay away until check out.

Super friendly staff, great location within walking distances to food, entertainment and activities. Useful bar / restaurant and my lake view room had a spectacular view. Wifi was down for over 24 hrs which was a little inconvenient. Although I knew the room didn't come with a kettle / coffeemaker I underestimated the negative impact this had on my stay.

Clean, spacious and very chic!!!

The stuff that Expedia says at the hotel has does not have. There was no hot tub. There were no robes, no shoes. The bathroom was kind of gritty and disgusting like it hasn't been cleaned properly and it looks like it needs a big update
