Church Street Inn Historic Charleston, Ascend Collection Hotel

The location was perfect for what we wanted. The night staff when we checked in was friendly and the morning staff and general manager when we checked out were also friendly. The room was amazing, we had never seen a loft style hotel room before, and we fell in love. We definitely will be keeping this on the list of places to stay when we come back through Charleston.

Very walkable. Kitchen was useful but not completely stocked

Smelled like an old house. No parking on the property which would have been good info to have before booking. Paid almost $300 for the room which was way over priced for the property.

The location and staff were excellent! We didn’t get to have access to the fitness center because of renovations

Perfect location and the staff was so nice and very friendly. Our room was very clean and the extra room by having a sitting area and the bedroom upstairs was the best. There was the extra benefit of having the best art gallery next door with an excellent choice of artists.

The staff were simply amazing. I talked to both day and night staff, and they both had interesting insight into the area, local history, restaurants, activities, and were adept at friendly banter.

We had a great stay! It was right in the middle of downtown right beside the market and easy walking distance to everything!

I loved the 2 floor room layout. It gave all of us a little more space. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. The hotel was at a good location, could walk to the heart of the city in a few minutes.

Exceptional

Perfect location and loved the feel of being home with the kitchen and the balcony upstairs! From the front desk to the housekeepers, all the staff were amazing! The courtyard with the fountain was so relaxing too!
