Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge Carlsbad

I just stayed at the Carlsbad Village Best Western and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is superb! it was lovely to have my coffee on the upstairs outdoor terrace, with a front-row seat for ocean viewing. The staff is helpful and friendly. My bed was very comfortable and I had plenty of clean towels. I plan to stay here in the future when I visit my son. So glad I found this gem!

Enjoyed all aspects of my stay. Wouldn't change a thing - except maybe for instructions on how to use the TV! Everything else was all good.

Tee rooms were very clean and the staff there was fantastic. Everyone was very polite and helpful. It's nice to see and experience this level of customer service these days. So many other places make you feel like it's a privilege that you stay there. Here you feel very welcome and you clearly get the feeling they are interested in serving you. Highly recommended.

Great location, but we couldn’t enjoy the fire pit with the ocean view because we were told that area was closed in the evening. That is a big draw to the hotel, and an amenity we were unable to enjoy.

The room was clean and the breakfast was really good. The location was right across from the beach entrance too.

Excellent value.

Parking is an extra fee and it was a snug fit for our truck.

Loved areas to lounge w fire pits and view of ocean.

Breakfast was decent , refilling items could use improvement . Deck and location is great . Rooms can use minor improvements . Lamps can be refurbished etc, shower fixtures can use minor upgrades etc . Minor improvements.

We came to meet up with our daughter’s family of 2 little boys. The grounds are secured with gates that need your room key for entry. The pool area is fenced too. The landscape feels tropical. We really liked having a lite breakfast that’s on the second level, with great views of the ocean. They offer a selection of breakfast items. I had scrambled eggs with a pancake. There are bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt and more! The rooms are spacious. The bed was comfortable. Closet & drawers are good. Our daughter had a suite with bedroom, living area & kitchenette. This hotel is across from the beach and about a block from good restaurants and shops. Parking is available for a fee and is covered.

Good location, clean rooms great patio view of the beach and ocean

This is a great place to stay. Across the street from the beach and steps away from Carlsbad Village. The rooms are huge with a nice living area, a dressing area, a big master bedroom and a nicely appointed bathroom. The staff is wonderful. They even let you park your car there for two hours after checkout so you can do some last minute shopping! Can't wait to go back.
