Lenox Hotel and Suites
About Lenox Hotel and Suites
The Lenox Hotel and Suites has a rich history dating back to 1896. As the oldest continuously operating hotel in Buffalo, NY the building is now both a hotel and residential building in the heart of the Allentown district, just minutes from downtown. Numerous restaurants, bars, and shops are within walking distance. Due to the age and historical significance of the Hotel, there are no rooms that are wheelchair accessible, and the use of stairs is required to access the building. There is an elevator inside to access the floors in the Hotel. Please contact the hotel directly for further information on accessibility. Every room features a 32-inch flat screen cable TV, Wi-Fi, microwave, fridge, and off-street parking. Lake Erie, the Central Business District, Delaware Park, Buffalo Zoo, Canalside, Buffalo Museum of Science, Explore & More Children's Museum, and much more are all within 3 miles. Niagara Falls is 20 miles away, about a 25 minute drive.

Hallways smelled incense all the time
-
One of our party needed to switch rooms because of the bleach/ammonia fumes, which triggered his asthma. One lady did not feel comfortable in her room as there was no deadbolt lock, only a privacy chain. There were Insufficient electrical outlets, so there were multiple appliances plugged into surge protectors. A curling iron caused a tripped circuit in the bathroom. The air conditioner never got the temperature below 70 degrees.

This is a historic hotel and very beautiful. However, the room smelled of bleach so much so it gave me a migraine. Because of preserving its history there are no amenities except a fridge and air conditioning. We were there for an event so as a place to sleep it was good. However, pricing is a big issue for me because there’s no reason for what I got that it should’ve been 200$.

The room was clean, and the staff were really nice. A Walgreens ira really nearby. The neighbor area appears not be safe. All the facilities are old, apparently some people are living in, the hotel not just guest for the hotel. Smoking smells in the lobby and room.

Front desk clerk was friendly No parking available. Condition horrendous. Room is very shabby. Mattress awful. Bathroom subpar. Hallways in sad shape. Gross, don’t stay here

Amazing customer service by the front desk; clean facilities. Stayed for one night and it had everything we needed. Bonus is the Walgreens pharmacy next door that's 24/7 if you need anything. And parking in the lot was included as well !

We liked the quirky vibe of the hotel There was a strong smell of possible bleach in the room.

Friendly staff, very clean despite the age of building
-
The friendliness of the staff, location and the cleanliness offset the great need for bathroom renovation and overall sense that it’s an old hotel and needs upgrading . Besides that downside, the stay met our needs for an overnight that was reasonably priced, efficient, and pleasant.
