Motel 6 Bryan, TX - University Area

They require you give $60 CASH (no credit card) for incidentals. They do not repair ANYTHING. Icemachine Broken. Electronic locks to a few rooms, do not function (which means you are locked out). Not enough HOT water. No drain plugs in hand sink and bathtub. Couple employees sweet, the others were horrible. No Management Present - and they run a tight ship - Too Bad it is a ship with poor policies that do not repair their property or make the customers fell welcome. Too BAD.

Incredibly hostile and offensive front desk attendant. Demanded that I give her a cash deposit despite paying for the room on a card. Expedia did not disclose this requirement in advance. Almost all hotels require a deposit. It is already clear that the hotel accepts credit and debit cards because that's how my room was paid. But then the angry and abusive attendant jumps down my throat for telling her that such an abnormal requirement should be disclosed in advance. At one point she says that if I don't like it she can cancel my reservation and refund my money. So I retrieved my license and I left. I then contacted expedia. They told me thati had to wait for a manager to approve the refund. I was promised $25 OneKeyCash with expedia, which i never received. Then a day later I get an email from expedia claiming that they have credited my account with $60 OKC, which also never happened. Even though the cancelation policy states that I should have lost only the first night's rate, I have never received the partial refund for the remainder of the nights prepaid. So Motel 6 has used abuse and poor management to justify theft and fraud. Expedia is only marginally better because they are not standing by their customer, not to mention promising $85 in OKC that has yet to materialize.

On top of that, I was denied my $60 deposit returned because of a sweat stain on the sheets. It is 110 outside, and they can easily be washed, but I was flat out denied. $60 to wash a sheet is absurd.

The room was cheap so I didn’t have high expectations. I was offered to view the room before booking which was a huge red flag. The room was ok except for the dried soda spots on the floor and crumbling surface on the bed side stand. Again the room was the cheapest rate I’ve ever paid in my life($30) so I rolled with it. Also they took a $60 cash deposit refundable after they inspect the room at check out. Apparently people steel towels and linens often.

Would not stay again, you even have to walk your towels to the office and trade them out. 3 day not one time did they ever leave towels, empty trash. You get what you pay for. Had to leave a 60.00 cash deposit and they did not give it back due to a spot of blood on a sheet because of a scraped elbow. The sheets are not even worth 60.00 stay away if you can.

The location is old, but the room was clean. Staff was nice & allowed me to check the room before committing. It was a very short stay, just needed beds to rest & a shower. Mission accomplished…..

Even though we paid through Expedia prior to checking in, they wanted another $60 CASH deposit prior to checking in. Not on card, IN CASH! We were NOT made aware of that! If we would have known prior to that, we would have NEVER done it. The female staff working at the front desk was super rude to one point wanting to call the cops on us, when I wanted a refund right then and there. I calmly explained to her, Expedia cannot give us our money back until 72 hours later and didn’t have any additional money to take care of another motel room. She refused to get the manager and giving us our money back. She told me to call Expedia, knowing full well, we wouldn’t get the money back for another 72 hours. We wanted the money last night, NOT 3 days later. We have drove nearly 200 miles on the road with my husband having no sleep in 26 hours. We had to sleep in our car/uhaul vehicle with 2 adult, 1 child and 2 cats, due to her lack of customer service. Would love to thank her for making our night horrible!
