The history and the way it was decorated was very nice. Very nice stafff and delicious breakfast. The fountain area looked like it needed work.

Lovely old building, very close to the old centre and parking. Bathroom fan did not seem to work so more like a sauna!

Probably the tiniest room I've ever stayed in, but the hotel is old, historic and has a soul. A thousand times I'd have booked this kind of beautiful gems over the modern all inclusive chain money machines. As I know maintaining these historical buildings is difficult and expensive I hope these kind of hotels will never disappear as Jan Brito has provided us with the true Brugge fairytale atmosphere the moment we stepped in.

It was located close to the sites we wanted to visit. It was clean and comfortable and the staff always recognized us and were very friendly. The breakfast was good. Can’t think of anything

Beautiful historic looking hotel. Would prefer over mattress and pillows, and better air conditioning - at least more air flow.

It felt like I was a guest in someone’s home. I really liked the common areas and old welcoming home charm. I missed breakfast and wish it was a little later into the day. I’d also like a pantry for late nights. The room’s mini bar was great, but more options to help myself would be a nice addition.

Location was awesome! Underground parking garage around the corner $19€/24hrs. Also a nice grocery store around the corner. Our room was top floor, but elevator helped. They requested we leave our key at the reception each time we went out. Was silly for a short jaunts

The hotel was charming!

Excellent location. Clean. Historic building. The rooms were in need of a refresh. The hallways looked drab and tired. Brown carpets on the walls detracted from the attractiveness of the building. The photos used to promote the hotel are of the back garden so a little deceptive regarding the actual appearance of the hotel.

Lovely 1 night stay in Bruges! The hotel was nice, clean and safe. Location was within walking distance to many of the local sites and was very convenient to get to from the train station. Our room was on the top floor and the shower/tub was interesting due to the angles of the ceilings, but we made it work!

Room was great size and very clean

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We booked the small double room and the room was actually quite big. The decor of the hotel was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was within walking distance. We arrived by train and it was a little far to walk so we decided on an Uber to the hotel. Everything else was within walking distance that we wanted to see. Loved our stay there.

great location and vibe

The property is beautiful, which is a 16th century house, and retains many of the original historic features such as the exposed beams and exterior facade. The interior is tastefully refurbished with marble mantlepiece and period decor. The location is fantastic, it is a short walk from the Grote Market, the city center, and also Rozenhoedkaai, a picture perfect spot overlooking the canal. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bar was a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing, with a good selection of local beers and a warm fire. We had to book breakfast the night before which we forgot to do some days. It would be nice to be able to have breakfast without pre booking.

Situated in an old manor, this historic hotel is very impressive. There is a garden with a fountain in the middle of the hotel, as well as a gym with a nice view of the garden. The location is a stone throw away from the historical center of Brygge, but a bit further away from the train station. The breakfast was delicious and there is enough variety to sate most guests. The hotel is not very modern, so you have to switch on electricity with the room key. This means that you can't charge your devices while away from your room. The TV was tiny in our room, but it was hardly a problem for us.
-
Location was great Bed was extremely uncomfortable, very hard mattress.
-
Our bathroom smelled like pee, the room was dusty, the stairs were scary to climb up to the third floor, and we hit our heads on the ceiling multiple times. We booked in hopes to get one of the beautiful rooms that were on the website and we were put in the dusty attic. There was dust on the exposed beams and windows.

Great location and easy walk to everything important in Bruges. We called about the room safe not working and the owner himself came up within 2 minutes and fixed it. Great service! The public parking near the hotel was very busy and full when we arrived at 7:00 pm on a Friday. This is not the hotels fault, but just a caution message for any travelers who arrive after 5:00 pm on a weekend.
