Golden Tree Hotel

I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful treatment from a hotel. I had already checked into my room, and before leaving for another city, I called the hotel to ask if I could extend my stay. I was told there would be no problem. The following day, while I was already in another city, I called again to confirm the extension. The hotel confirmed it, charged my credit card, and everything seemed settled. Only after taking my payment did they contact me saying I had to move my car because they no longer had parking available. I explained that I was already in another city and had only extended my stay because they had confirmed it was possible. Instead of taking responsibility for their own mistake, the staff accused me of lying. Being called a liar by hotel staff is completely unacceptable and incredibly disrespectful. No paying guest should ever be treated in such a humiliating manner. To make matters even worse, they cancelled my extension after charging my card, told me they would refund the payment, and warned me that I had until 2:00 PM to collect my belongings. They even threatened that if my luggage was still in the room after that time, they would remove it and throw it out. This level of customer service is shocking. As if that wasn’t enough, the hotel itself is outdated, poorly maintained, and far from clean. The rooms and facilities do not reflect the prices they charge. Considering the condition of the property, the rates are significantly overpriced, making the overall experience even more disappointing. The entire situation was caused by the hotel’s poor communication and lack of organization, yet I was the one who was blamed, insulted, and threatened. This was, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere if they expect professionalism, respect, cleanliness, or value for money.

Had air conditioning which was great. Felt like we were in the attic . Otherwise great location. A bit dated

Location, and it’s very comfortable The lack of communication between reception and cleaners ! I request a late check out to have some more hours to rest, and I ended up not resting. The door of my bedroom was open twice without even knocking on the door

The hotel has been built in a historical mansion so the building itself is extremely beautiful. Rooms use a modern style while the rest of the facilities respect the original building structure and style. They offer some parking spots (for 25 EUR / day) that saved us a lot of trouble since we arrived by car. They also offer EV charging points. The facilities are excellent, as well as cleaniness and overall maintenance but the best aspect of the hotel was undoubtedly the nice STAFF. About the location, it can't be better (especially if you come by car). Everything was perfect. Only the price could've been slightly cheaper, but still a fair price for what you get. I will

No parking available at the time checked in. We are older people with back surgeries, dragging the heavy bags was bad.

It took a while to understand the way to the hotel and inside the hotel.

Location close to city center , friendly staff, room for bikes, nice bathrooms Rooms face a somewhat busy road. Room is quiet with windows closed.

General location was nice Air conditioning, parking upon arrival, security features of door was dated

This hotel has the absolute best hotel breakfast. Well worth it for that alone. The property is lovely. It's quiet comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Would stay again without hesitation.

Super friendly staff, huge room— didn’t realize the spa was not included in our room fee which was a bummer.

Service was indifferent. Staff was not unfriendly but not particularly hospitable. Reception closed at a reasonable check out time for instance. Staff 'forgot' to clean room and had to go after basics like fresh towels and toilet paper myself.

What a lovely hotel. Very close to everything you want to see. We had a very nice room with a very comfortable bed and pillows. There is a great shower with great bath shampoo and conditioner. There is also a wonderful body cream. I would definitely stay here again if I returned here. Nothing

For me it was a bit loud at night but if street noise doesn't bother you then its no problem. other then that I cant say we have any complaints.

Beautiful hotel. Clean, nicely decorated. Great location from the town and public transport. The walls are thin, loud kids. Old building not much to be done with this.

It is old and has beautiful designs and is full of charm. Nice walk to the Christmas Market and city center. What makes it special is that it is old and full of charm, but that comes at a cost of less insulation and some quirks. It is a give and take.
