Location was beautiful and perfect for our reason for staying there. Loved the views and square. Staff was very helpful and our room was beautiful. It was hot in our room.

Very local vibe around at the location and extremely charming hotel. We had a two floor apartment, which was fantastic. However, the top floor, right beneath the roof should have had installed a/c since it became extremely hot and impossible to cool down during the nights with the provided fans.

It was a modern hotel with a bar. The room was comfy and had all the amenities that made us survive the heatwave: airconditioning! The bathroom had no door and the shower area was all glass. No privacy at all. Hoping they had an option to cover or enclose the area.

Nothing not to like about the property it was more the location.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Hotel was in a good location and fairly close to everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. It could get really loud at times but that's to be expected with a bar right below our room.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

very good location and rooms with friendly staff!

Location There is no elevator. Our rooms were up 4 flights of narrow winding stairs. One room had no air conditioning. English version of website did not mention lack of elevator, apparently the French version does. Both versions say A/c in all rooms. Very bad for asthmatic guest.

Area of the city was fantastic! Breakfast were perfect before exploring the city and the staff were very friendly

  • Engine customer May 2026

Great location and I had a nice room in first floor with balcony overlooking the church The bar downstairs is incredibly noisy and they don’t seem to have good sound insulation.

  • Engine customer May 2026

The location was great, as was the breakfast All good - we’re not used to a transparent glass door to the bathroom but I think it’s fairly common in France

We loved this boutique hotel! Nicely appointed rooms, beautiful charming building, friendly helpful staff, great location! The Lola suite is above a separate small bar and was way too loud on Friday night. We were able to move rooms to a quieter room for Sat night.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Whatever we needed. Nothing!

Where to start? The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Our room was perfect, super cool decor and the location made it easy to walk to public transit or roam around by foot. Nothing. We loved it stay.

The breakfast was absolutely wonderful--continental and American-style choices (fresh bread/croissants, cereal, ham/cheese/egg, fresh squeezed fruit juice...) Staff friendly, helpful, very pleasant. Beautiful old stones make up the building and the stairs--lots of character. Great location, near St Michel tram stop and all the downtown tourist areas but not too noisy. The ground floor is a bar/café with a lovely outdoor terrasse. I had a room on the very top floor, under the roof and it was a bit small and cramped with a window that did not open. The bathroom was beautiful and quite large, as large as the room which seemed a bit odd. I imagine rooms on lower floors have higher ceilings and I could see their windows opened. No elevator!

The view out our window was amazing - looking directly at the rise window of the cathedral next door.

Incredible location with our window facing the church and small square. Marvellous breakfast, and incredible staff Leaving

This hotel is near the tram station St. Michel that takes you to and from the train station in Bordeaux. That helps if you arrive or leave by train or if you take day trips to wine country. The hotel has a "popular" feel to it, attracting locals to come have a drink in its bar or outside at the sidewalk tables. The hotel is both a hotel and a bar, which was not shown or mentioned on booking.com, and right next to the hotel is another wine bar. We thus had a lot of trouble our first night there when loud music was being played in the bar right below our room--the room with the balcony shown in the photos here. The 2nd night, we could hear people talking at 3:00 a.m. either from Lola's bar or the bar next door. We were extremely disappointed and requested a discount for the disturbances, but we did not receive one nor any apology from the hotel owners. The hotel manager, a young lady, did a great job at apologizing and offering us drinks and coffees and closing down the bar at midnight on our 3rd night. In addition, the room had huge French windows and a balcony overlooking the cathedral, but there was scaffolding on the building immediately nest to our balcony which is likely to be there for a long time as the adjacent building is being remodeled completely. The photos on Booking.com of the large room and balcony that overlook the cathedral are misleading, as the cathedral is quite sooty and there is a homeless person sleeping in a tent on the grounds of the church. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel as a great place to stay unless you want to hang out in its bar till late at night. And given the price of our hotel room at more than $175 / night, this hotel is certainly not a value. There are many great hotels in Bordeaux that most people will be more comfortable at.

So stylish with lovely staff Slightly Edgy neighborhood

The staff will make you feel at home right away, the hip feel , great music in the background, wonderful specialty cocktails, and warmth of greetings feel very genuine. Martin especially made us feel the hospitality and shared stories we cherish on these fact finding trips. Bordeaux is very special, more accessible on a human level than paris, imho. Nil.

Room was very nicely appointed. It is in a declining area of Bordeaux. This is a bar with some rooms above, not a hotel. The reception/check-in is the bar. On a Sunday night with the bar closed music was blasting just below my room which happened to be directly over the bar. This continued until 2am when I decided to investigate. There were 3 drunks sitting at the bar, one behind the bar responsible for this interruption. In the morning I checked out of the hotel but mgmt refused to reimburse the two nights I would not be using. Management didn’t care. A little research indicates this is a recurring problem and has happened multiple times before to multiple guests. Check TA reviews. When I met with local business people in the following days each and every one said they never go to that area at St Michaels Church where the “hotel” is. There are better hotels in better areas of Bordeaux that have better rates.
