Host’s automatic messages were kind of annoying. It’s beside train station…I saw 3-4 weird people outside the home.

One of the connectors in the main bedroom was very dangerous, and I was unable to use it.

Apart from the clean sheets and towels, the room and bathroom were untidy, with a really heavy buildup of dust on the lamps, doors, windows, and in the corners. The bathroom had a shower with shabby, peeling walls and showed mold spots. The kitchen-living room area is occupied by the host, so it's not really a "common" area as shown in the photos. I'm sure you can use it because the host is friendly, but it wasn't what we expected and we felt quite uncomfortable during the visit.

Location near to railwaystation was fine. First when we arrived, we were a little bit disapointed. There was clearly moisture in the walls of the apartment, which gave a messy impression. However, I thought 'when in Rome, do as the Romans do.' We didn't have much time to stay in the apartment anyway. It was suitable for an overnight stay. The sofa was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on.

Owner was very friendly, put into our availability also rest of appartment as living room and kitchen, even offered some tourist advices :-) very good WiFi. You must be aware that this is Casa di Gino and FYI - Gino is cat :-) very meow meow, but no touch :-) for us it was acceptable, as we live with cats ourselves, but you must accept that here and there you can find cat hair (important for allergics). Appartment is 3min walk from central train station, which was of the biggest importance for us, as we travelled to Firenze and Pisa for a day trips. We were also offered with possibiloty to leave our luggage in appartment after check out till our departure. Recommendations to owner from us - please consider mop for bathroom and small hanger for jackets directly in room :-) thank you for your hospitality!

Very good location, the room has a big tv, clean bedding. For night is all good

Terrible cleaning, bad smell, super humid, not comfortable for 3 or 4 people, only one bathroom in the worst conditions ever, inside the bedroom. I'll give you some pics to support what we found. Please, take your money and go somewhere else

the best host?

Very close to the Bologna Centrale. It was perfect! Sofa bed was uncomfortable

The place was terribly moulded. It feels like beeing in the wet basement deep underground. They should put some dehumidifiers. This place should be delisted before they fix it up

The sheets were clean and nice. The location is good, there is parking on the street. We changed the time of arrival and it was easily accommodated by the host. The door has a slate underneath, so you can hear all the traffic in the building. The street is also quite loud, and you can hear everything. There are no curtains (there are some shades outside, but I am not sure how you could reach them as the windows are very high up. The shower curtain was mouldy. The toilet had old dirt inside. There is a lot of degradation of the walls and radiators.

Nice apartment and host.

The place was very close to the train station. The owner (or property manager) was extremely rude, slow at responding to booking.com emails and apparently also did not read what was asked . We were sent an email with an address, which was not the same as the one of the property. To be sure to find it we used Google maps and we also spoke with the owner who gave us very confusing directions (probably, but not only, due to the fact that the direction we got and looked up on the map and the one he was giving us did not match). He mentioned an underpass without mentioning that it was the station underpass (not being from Bologna it would have been easily specified), and more. Long story short, he repeatedly insulted me in a bit so indirect way for not being able to get to the apartment, to the point he said he never had issues before and he was a “maschietto” (a man) as opposed to me, a woman (who apparently can’t find her way). Honestly l have not experience such blatant man-splaining in a while if ever. I am ltalian so the language was not a barrier, and l love Bologna and every Bolognese l have met so far. Yuck. Full disclosure he called back after finally reading the email asking clarification about the address (sent an hour prior, before the whole debacle) and his tone was somewhat apologetic (although he did not apologize) and offered to wave part of the city fees (3 euros per person).
