What a wonderful host!!!

Agostino was a magnificent host and he was always ready to be of assistance. The room was beautiful, large and decorated in historical Italian style. Breakfast was delicious, a selection of everything from fresh Italian pastries to fruit and coffee. Location to the city centre was an easy 10 minute walk. We liked everything about this property!

A fantastic stay from start to finish. The location is hard to beat, just a 10-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, close enough to explore everything on foot without being in the thick of the tourist crowds. Getting around the city couldn't have been easier. The room itself was beautiful, and with a lovely balcony that made it a genuine pleasure to return to after a long day out. Breakfast was great too and our host Agostino was wonderfully attentive and always on hand whenever we needed anything. Would definitely recommend!

This is an old fashioned B & B, meaning they provide a room with a private bath and communal breakfast. It seems like a home converted to five suites, with a common breakfast/salon area. It is in an apartment building in what we found to be a great location. It is an easy walk to anything in the center of Bologna yet quiet and comfortable. The entire facility was very clean, though a bit cluttered. The clutter appeared to be things for guests, brochures, guides, books, maps, that sort of thing. Our room was situated off of a common courtyard and included a small balcony. The room had a lot of furniture for its size and felt cramped to us. We are both minimalists, so it may not be an objective observation. Everything worked and again, was very clean. The closet had plenty of clothes hangers. Our room came with a complimentary bowl of fruit and bottle of water. Soap and body wash were provided in the bathroom. The breakfast was pastries, small panini, cheese, fruit, juice, yogurt, and coffee freshly prepared by Agostino. Agostino was very thoughtful and really wants his guests to enjoy their stay with plenty of recommendations for things not just in Bologna but regionally as well. It was very quiet at night and in May when we stayed the temperature was comfortable. For my tastes, too much clutter.

The B&B was charming. It was as one would expect: the host is wonderful, the interaction with the other guests was warm, and the location was great. There really wasn't anything that I didn't like.

This is our second time staying at Antica Residenza. Thought the stays were a little more than 10 years apart, we loved it just as much this time as our first visit. The location is fantastic, the space is incredibly comfortable, there's always interesting people to meet over the breakfast table and, as always, there is Agostino - Antica's incredibly welcoming and knowledgable host. We highly recommend it!!

The B&B is very conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from Bologna city center. The host, Agostino, is absolutely amazing - he was waiting for me when I arrived, helped me with my bags, offered coffee and fruit. There was a complimentary bottle of wine in the room, and delicious coffee served with breakfast every day. Agostino was a wonderful host taking time to offer me advice but also to keep me company while I was enjoying my morning coffee (as I traveled alone, it was a nice touch). He also recommended great places to eat, and found a panetonne for me, which I wanted to bring back to Norway to share with my friends. Overall, it was a marvelous stay! Everything was great.

Mr. Agostino is indeed a great host, he knows the art of hospitality and is a very sophisticated person. The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast very nice and satisfying . The location is super convenient . We liked everything , just one tip though : Bologna is very cold in the winter, the room has nice heating but it has naked marble floor that can be quite cold for the feet so definitely get slippers with you . And generally have clothes to dress in layers.
