I only stayed here for one night after 3-nights at Daiiti Hotel. They gave me a nice Japanese style room (403) with the sea front view, which I highly appreciated. There's a public onsen on the L6, which I also enjoyed and was not crowded at all when I visited. My stay deal also came with the free breakfast. The breakfast offered was a buffet style with many choices of Western and Japanese. It was really good ? Except for the cleanliness of the lift (particularly the one next to the Reception Counter), everything is just good to me.

Was noisy from inside the hotel. Could hear everyone moving around in the morning. Plus side, did not sleep past my alarm! Would recommend using the offered earlier plugs.

Facility is a short walk towards the beach from Beppu Station. Breakfast was ample and sufficient. Lar room had tatami floors and make-your-own futon bed, seating area facing the marina and sea. Recommended restaurants and bars close by.

Great location - Ryokan room was spacious and clean Breakfast was very good with good variety Futon beds are really uncomfortable (feels like sleeping on the floor) - Ryokan bedroom was smelling old and noisy Breakfast having same food two days in a row - I would suggest to change some options every day

The new Tsuruta hotel was located very conveniently in he heart of Beppu close to the historical bathhouse. The room, despite being slightly dated, was a comfortable tatami room with a great view over the bay. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated recently. For the price of around 10.000 yen per night for two people, breakfast and free parking were included, which is rare at this price point! The Onsen was nice and not too small and had an outdoor pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. As a foreigner I felt very accommodated at breakfast, where all descriptions where in English as well and allergens for all dishes were displayed. As someone with allergies, this is a rare and very pleasant sight! Overall, great value for money and amazing service. Can fully recommend
