Howard Johnson by Wyndham Beckley

Very clean, quiet, and a great place to stay while you’re in Beckley.

This is an acceptable stop to shower and sleep at a price that reflects what you get.

Fine for a night. Room was roomy. Everything seemed nice. Convenient to highway, restaurants, and shopping. Bed was comfy. One thing to consider. No elevator. If you’re room is upstairs, you’re lugging your luggage

clean room breakfast was not good

For a one night sleep during a road trip it was great! Very affordable and very clean. Staff was helpful and made everything easy. Just be prepared for a non impressive breakfast lol. But honestly for the price zero complaints! And sonic is across the street! I would book again.

Clean room however can improve on smell inside rooms with room fresheners.

The rooms were clean and staff was helpful however housekeeping attempted to enter the room twice without knocking or announcing themselves. Breakfast was a standard continental. Juice was watered down though and did not taste like orange juice. Lots of trash in the parking area needs to be addressed.

The hotel was older, but the room was clean and the location was convenient being minutes off the highway.

The room pictures are correct..the breakfast picture was nothing like what was there....we had 2 rooms reserved,got there and 1 of the rooms had not even been cleaned yet!!!! Very disappointed... definitely not like they should be!!!!!

The only positive about this place was the young man that checked us in. He was very pleasant and helpful. We knew the minute we parked that this Howard Johnson was not going to be a good experience. The outside looked as bad as the inside. We didn’t feel the rooms were clean. The towels were old and very thin. Upon viewing the continental breakfast it was clear that we wanted no part of it. Do not recommend this place at all. The high rating given on Expedia is incorrect.

The pool was locked up the whole entire time I was there but one day and it was so late you couldn't get in it

Rundown place , beware. Microwave didn’t work, floor carpet was soaking wet in front of the ac unit. Breakfast was nonexistent even milk was missing. Avoid unless you ran out of options.

i did not like that there is not a exhaust fan in the bathroom.

The room was nice and clean. Staff was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

The only reason we continued to stay for the night was that it was so late already and we had been traveling so long. The issues; there was a 9v battery sitting on top of the sprinkler head, the mirror had a large crack in it, there were what looked like bleach stains along with some nasty looking spot, dried leftover food on the table, someone else's hair clip and hair all over the room and bathroom, most the outlets didn't work, a large chunk of the veneer on the door was ripped off, actual cobwebs were in the corner of the room, stains on the bedding, the bathroom door latch wouldn't work half the time, and there is no elevator on premise. We did not even get breakfast because of how disgusting we thought the place was. If I could give zero star I would.

It was a place to sleep; no more, no less. I wouldn't eat anything there.

Satisfactory for a overnight stay while traveling

You get what you pay for. The beds were decent, but the room wasn’t very clean. There was dust on the lamps and headboards, urine on the toilet, toothpaste on the mirror, and mold on the shower curtain. Breakfast was also very limited. Fine for a cheap overnight stay, but don’t expect much.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had that I can recall. The only positive that I could give it is the fact that there weren’t bedbugs in my room
