I thought the design of the building was beautiful. I thought the availability to store bags was very helpful. And I found the location phenomenal, particularly with proximity to the bus area. I found the building set-up unexpectedly difficult. I had several bags and due to the different "levels" on floor 1 it meant I had to carry heavy bags upstairs after having taken the elevator to that floor. I was disappointed in the lack of support with my bags when entering, exiting, or even inside the hotel. Even just holding the doors open to enter or exit would've been an amazing improvement in service.

GO ELSEWHERE! The property is in a good location. We were given the keys to our beautiful room, a modern, tiled, spacious bathroom with a glorious bedroom and large working wardrobe. After 2.5 hours of constant whirring sounds we couldn’t sleep and were feeling so ill and exhausted. He showed no empathy to how a lack of sleep can make you ill. I explained and demonstrated the whirring noises to him. He said, what do you expect me to do? I said as a Christian and a well travelled individual I would hope you can be of assistance. We had to argue before he would do something as he didn’t care my birthday holiday was being ruined. The hotel immediately showed signs of issues like the restaurant and bar being closed other than breakfast, obviously not a good start, we should have known. He then agreed to do something, got in the lift and was heading to the room. I said where are you going now? He said in your room, I said you are not, my wife is in bed naked awaiting my return. He said so what? I couldn’t believe my ears. This man deemed it acceptable to walk into our bedroom with my naked wife and see her to read a decibel on his device and didn’t even ask or prewarn without me challenging him. What sort of place is this? We were in Seville two weeks ago and had the most magical time and I have many Spanish friends in the UK who would never behave like this! He said he had no other rooms in the hotel and needed to hear the sound again. I had to demonstrate it again and after much deliberation he said I will move you to a room tonight but it is not available beyond tonight. After arguing, he moved us, finally to a room with a much older, smaller, grubby bathroom, with hard to slide wardrobe doors, and believe it or not a thermostat and air conditioning set at 0°. I have travelled the whole world and never set foot in a room with temperatures at 0°. It was so cold ICE wouldn’t have melted, I couldn’t believe it! This made us severely ill with chest infections and sick.

The location was ok. The hotel is located on an alley inaccessible to cars, so there is a bit of walking from the main taxi drop off area. During our stay, we did not have air conditioning at all, in the middle of one of the hottest summers on record. There was no airflow in the room because our room was situated in a dead-end alley. Additionally, the first day, we also did not have hot water. The staff was unhelpful and has not honored the 40% discount they offered and published in the lobby.

The location was good and the property has potential with the old look and feel. The interiors are unique to the antique feel of the neighborhood. Comfort and amenities were poor. The hot water and air-conditioning went out for the last day and a half of our stay. And during that time the water was completely cut off for about 4 hours with no explanation. Temperature was extremely hot and humid in the room. Couldn't sleep for two of the nights because of that. We're were given no time estimate as to when it would be all fixed. Ac and hot water were still out when we checked out. There's also an alley next to the hotel that always had human waste, and smelled terrible.

Central location. Ambience. Good breakfast. Close to subway and Plaza Catalonya. Cramped room. AC struggled to keep to a comfortable temperature.
