Hotel Complex Zara Bansko

It was a great stay. It had nice variety in food. The serving hours were perfect to complete a skiing day. They also have a restaurant at the hotel if you would like to have a snack or lunch during the day. At dinner you can also serve different beverages for a fee, but still really cheap if you compare it with other places. They have free parking and a shuttle bus to the gondola, in the morning, and back in the afternoon. Also they have a place to store your ski equipment and also a service and rental office for equipment at the hotel. The spa was clean, but quite crowded in the evening. They also provide massage services on demand, for a fair price. The rooms are just like in the photo. The staff was really friendly and there to help you with whatever they could. The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning. Side note: this side of the town is there for the skiing experience. You have an infinite number of rentals around the gondola, fast foods and many restaurants and bars. During the week if you’re in line at the gondola latest at 9 you have all the chances to be up in the mountain around 10. The best way to measure your waiting time is to see if the line made the corner of the parking lot down the street, if that’s the case, i recommend looking for a taxi to the top ( taxi is 10€, you’ll hear them around the line looking for riders, town bus is 6€, it’s right in front of Happy End).

very nice hotel, convenient location, excellent food, nice swimming pool. Swimming pool and jacuzzi had too much chemicals that was really irritating, but water was warm and very pleasant.

I loved the sizes of the rooms and you get what you pay for! Also special a mention for the cleaners, they were really nice. The steam room and most of the SPA was a bit dirty. The food sometimes was not the best.

The dinner

The lady at the reception was very nice and kind. The cleanliness was ok... parking in front of the hotel. The price is way too high for what this hotel offers. Old hotel, in need of urgent renovation, located in a not exactly ok area. The reception does not work non-stop... Poor breakfast, and the only dinner we had there, although better, we do not recommend it. Dark room, no air conditioning, outdated furniture.

- Breakfasts and dinners with a wide selection of products, everything was fresh and tasty - Fridge and kettle in the room - amazing view - very nice staff - good location - warm water in the inside-pool, clean pools and saunas - the furtniture and the design of the rooms were rather old, kinda 00' style - flooring in the inside pool needs replacement, same for the walls and the roof - there was quite a lot of mold around the jacuzzi and the rooftop window - water in the jacuzzi was too hot, also it smelled strangely (sth like plastic), not very pleasant experience in general - the coffee served in the restaurant was quite bad - the kids corner (or maybe I should call it a game area?) was rather sad, with a few machines that were switched off and quite old toys and games that were missing a lot of parts, the lay out of this room was also very strange - in general it looked heavy, sad and empty

Clean rooms, nice spa, friendly staff, perfect breakfast and dinner, free parking. The pool water is hot enough. You can have a 10 min walk to the ski lifts if you’re not a skiing od take the hotel van on every 20 min. The rooms and the balcony need some renovation. The jacuzzi water doesn’t have regulation, it is extremely hot… someone might like it, but we didn’t. Spa towels and linen for the beds should be renewed
