Wyndham Garden Bangkok Sukhumvit 42

Perhaps the most comfortable and reasonably-priced hotel in Bangkok. Stayed here on two separate occasions and I'll definitely stay again next time I'm in town. The rooms are wonderful and spacious and it feels like you have your own little apartment instead of being in a hotel. Great location too!

Good location. Our 2nd suite Was more spacious with two bathrooms. Last year we had access to the top floor pool but this year we did not which was a big bummer. The first room we were put in was very cramped and felt unclean. Thank goodness we were moved to a different unit. The new unit shower was clogged and kept overflowing so we showered in the bathtub.

Clean, obviously the Thai people are very hospitable and friendly so that was great. Access to transport, food, mall, 7-11s, dispos, BTS. Safe as I often went outside at night to smoke. Hotel lobby was always warm, I assume they’re preserving energy but it’s pretty toasty in the lobby.

I think the breakfast was very bad as there were very limited options and hotel staff was quite rude and helpless to requests . The rooms were nonsmoking where i needed smoking. I booked a room with balcony but was not made available. 2 bottles of water for a day were very limited, and they would charge for the 3rd was a bit unrealistic and cheap. In total a very less than average experience and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone .

The building itself has a very luxe feeling from the moment you walk in. Each of the rooms was designed to be a condominium, so there is a full kitchenette and laundry machine in each unit. The staff was very helpful and there were plenty of amenities. The Ekkamai train station is also a stones throw away, so it felt very connected to the city via transit. The elevators weren't air conditioned, which is almost necessary for the hot weather.

Very comfortable room. Very good location. Very kind staff, especially in the reception. The only small thing was that the Fitness room quite small and found no towels.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent — very close to the BTS station, a shopping mall with food courts, and a large supermarket, which was very convenient. The view from the balcony was amazing, overlooking beautiful Bangkok. Having a washing machine in the room was very important due to the humidity and heat, although there was no detergent provided for it. The duplex room was cozy, modern, clean, and well designed. It had everything we needed: kitchenware, a stove, a large refrigerator, a bathtub and shower, and a smart toilet. When we requested a drying rack and help with the non-working internet, the staff resolved everything immediately, which we really appreciated. The breakfasts were good, and the restaurant is very large and pleasant. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There are several elevators in the building, so we never had to wait long. There were a few things that could be improved. The swimming pool is very small. In the living room, there is only a small sofa and a table with chairs, so there are not many comfortable seating options. The duplex layout is not very convenient, as you have to constantly go up and down to the bedroom using a staircase that is not very comfortable. Because of this, we ended up keeping most of our belongings in the living room.

Location No Towels was promised 2 beds and there was only one and the manager is not hospitable at all

Great location, fast stable internet suitable for working. Great view from the higher floors. Decent breakfast. Staff is friendly and polite. Somehow access to the rooftop is not for hotel guests, there is a condo rooms, and rooftop infinity pool is for them only. Why do they use rooftop pool photos in this booking then?

The parking was very confusing with no signs. My husband was given directions to the wrong parking and when he hauled all our luggage down, with no elevator or stairs, all the staff just stared at him and offered no help. We didn't realize we had to auto park. THERE.WERE NO SIGNS!!!

The housekeeping, reception, outside porters and especially the Concierge. Gym equipment need to be repaired and pool needs heating as it doesn’t get the sun. Cafe downstairs need a broader menu.

Appreciated getting a two bedroom suite for the family. Relatively new hotel (but is looking a little worn with scuffs/markings in the hallways and rooms). Not too far from the airport which was convenient. Service was the poorest we have experienced in south east Asia, even compared to one star hotels. They left our bags downstairs by reception (open to other guests) for 10 hours after telling us they would take the luggage in our room. When we got back to the hotel in the evening at 9:30pm to check in there was just the concierge who wanted us to wait an hour in the lobby until another staff member got back from a party. And in the morning they wanted to charge our teenagers for breakfast despite my booking saying it was included (they said I booked for kids 12 and under which I did not). At each and every connection point the staff demonstrated a lack of basic customer service.
