PIER 808 Hostel

It was close to the water taxi, song wat road and Chinatown. Facilities were very clean, the facility was secure, staff was very friendly and helpful! If you didn’t plant to take the river taxi/shuttle then you need to order a taxi (Grab)

The location next to ferry pier, Chinatown, and Riverside. I love going to the rooftop patio to watch the river and the city.

Close to the ferry, Chinatown and some great places to eat and get a massage nearby Had to walk outside in the heat to use the bathroom. Noisy until around 11pm due to the dinner cruises blasting karaoke.

Amazing location and super sweet staff. Room was big with a nice private bathroom. Close to the pier and Chinatown.

A fairly new place in Chinatown. Extremely clean with comfy bed and great AC. Easy access to the river taxi, MRT, and bus lines. All good!

The location itself is next to the pier where you can take a boat to easily tour Phuket. Very clean and beds comfortable. It was difficult to find as it was down a back alley but still convenient location overall. Also no room to open suitcase in the hostel rooms, had to do everything in the hallway.

shower room drain is really clogged. When you step out of the hotel in the morning, there’s a stretch of standing water. looks like the river rises overnight. If your shoes aren’t waterproof or you’re carrying luggage, it gets pretty inconvenient.

Great location, very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My favorite part was the rooftop, with its beautiful view of the river and Bangkok.

The hostess was amazing! Excellent locations just a short walk from the pier and China town, this place is a gem. The rooftop balcony was the highlight, especially on warm nights.

At night, you could definitely have quite the feed as it is located in Chinatown where there are a lot of markets and stalls set up. The room I had was what I wanted. Comfortable beds and just the required facilities to rest and recharge. Staff were friendly and helpful in providing recommendations for food and activities. Also check out the rooftop space. It's pretty cool -nil

Very small room.

Very kind hosts. The rooftop was great, and we had a (slightly obstructed but partially visible!) view of the river from our room. Our stay was quiet and the room was clean with comfortable beds. They had a free bottled water refill station in the lobby and easy access to snacks to buy. There was an elevator to all floors. The entire bathroom gets a little wet after a shower, so I'd recommend bringing extra shower shoes - they provide enough, but it can be nice to have in-bathroom shoes and out-of-bathroom shoes so the bedroom doesn't get wet.

5 star hostel with brand new modern facilities, clean, quiet and super helpful customer service.

A great little hotel right on the river in Chinatown. Pier 808 has great clean, new facilities, comfortable beds (had some of the best sleeps of our trip here!), strong air-con. We loved the neighbourhood and the night market and also enjoyed sitting up on the roof top deck at sunset each night to take in the river and city views! Nothing, everything was great!

The hostel is new (as of early 2024), clean and quiet, thankfully not a party place. It is a great base if you want to explore Bangkok, with easy access to the main sights, but in an authentic neighborhood in Chinatown. There’s a 7-Eleven around the corner, Yaowarat night market is closeby, and there’s also a hip street with great trendy cafés, restaurants and an art gallery just around the corner (Song Wat Road). The pier / boat stop is literally in front of the house, and the boat takes you to all the main stops on the river (e.g. Wat Arun or Iconsiam) for 30 THB. The rooftop has amazing views of the skyline and partially the river, it was very peaceful and nice to sit out there at night. I also have to mention that the Hosts are so incredibly nice! They went out of their way to give me good tips and a great experience in Chinatown, thank you so much once again for that, it made my stay all the more special!! :)

I stayed at Pier 808 Hostel with my friend for Chinese New Year and we were very pleased with our stay. We loved how close of a walk Chinatown was from Pier 808, making our time so memorable. The hostel was very clean and they had lots of facilities available such as a small communal kitchen (with snacks and drinks you can buy). The beds in the hostel were also very spacious and private with the sliding curtains and the beds themselves were very comfortable. The staff was kind and hospital and sent us all the information we needed to know about using the river boat and the area. We enjoyed our stay very much. Pier 808 is conveniently located right by Chinatown, though the exact area looks at bit sketchy when you first arrive. It is down a small street and at first seemed sus to us, but always felt safe. All around we loved our hostel and highly recommend it.
