About Balloch House by Innkeeper's Collection

A 15-minute stroll from the shores of the famous loch sits the Innkeeper’s Lodge Loch Lomond. It has existed as Balloch House Hotel for over a hundred years and couples rustic charm with modern en suite accommodations. The Innkeeper’s Lodge Loch Lomond serves hearty meals in the Balloch House pub, which has fireplaces and a beamed ceiling. Each bright and neutrally decorated room comes with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities, some even with views over the loch or the River Leven. 7 local golf courses, 2 of which located right on the loch, mean fanatics are spoiled for choice. Hiking in the Lomond and Trossachs National Park is on the doorstep, and the Balloch Castle Country Park is less than a 5-minute walk away. Glasgow city center is 30 minutes away by car and Edinburgh Airport lies just over an hour’s drive.

Great location close to Loch Lomond and walks. Clean, comfortable & cosy room. Fabulous shower. Staff were stressed. Dirty outdoor area with broken glass.

The location. We thought our room was very basic for the price we paid, and the window in our room had like cellophane on it, so there was no view. Bit disappointing in the lovely area it is in. Room 11.

Location was excellent and the bar downstairs was great Our room was right next to the pub toilets which meant all you could hear from around 9/10am until 11pm was the hand dryer. Not an issue if you’re out and about and getting to bed later on in the evening though.

Nice cosy place near the town centre. Parking very convenient. Staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. Slight smell of dog or something in the room. Couldn't leave windows open too long as there was traffic outside. Otherwise all was fine.

Staff were excellent, especially those in the pub restaurant. Room was comfortable. We had a couole of housekeeping issues (light over basin didn'twork, and blocked/slow draining basin) which did not get resolved during our stay. Breakfast was a bit limited, coffee, juice + a smallish hot breakfast. Would have liked to have seen cereal & fruit in addition

Excellent location, breakfast, all in room facilities. One staff member made a 'unintentional' racist comment (we are British citizens with Indian ethnicity); but majority of the staff was great. We were waiting for some time for our breakfast order to be taken, so we got up and reached out to the front desk and the staff member said, "I thought you might not know English, so you would take more time to read the menu". We don't think she meant it as intentional racist comment; but in today's world, one should be more aware. This is not about being politically correct. This is about not judging others. Funny thing is we as a family share post graduate degrees and children having A grades in English and literature. So education gives us better mortality, maturity, to be considerate and forgive. We didn't say a single work to retaliate or anything, just understood that she doesn't have enough education, awareness and maturity and we were considerate that perhaps she didn't have enough exposure to the world and that her act was innocent.

Nice old place, tastefully refurbished, comfortable room and bed, spacious bathroom, nice breakfast. Awkward access via lots of steps, terrible wifi in a poor 4G/5G area.

Lovely building, grounds, furnishings, and restaurant. Superb location for walking from the train, walking along the loch, exploring the parks, and visiting the town's businesses. Ate two meals in the inn's dining room; the food was fantastic. Unfortunately I had Room 11, which was next to a very heavy, noisy fire door in the hallway, which slammed with a loud bang every time a guest went in or out. The room had a painted-over window that opened only a couple of inches; thus the room was stuffy and too warm. The room was also very small. My colleague got a much bigger room with a view from the window for the same price. The staff was continually busy and I was unable to catch a staff member long enough to ask about that. Since I was only there one night, I let it go. If I had stayed more than one night, Room 11 would have been unacceptable.

Had the most amazing welcome to the Loch with Balloch House. Its a gem of a place. The location is fantastic. The inn is antique, with modern facilities. All the staff is amazing. They want to help in every possible way Special shout out to the kitchen/ chef. I had the most delicious meals / breakfasts in Balloch house.
