The place reeked of cigarette smoke. The annoying bit is that they specified that it's a smoke-free room and that a huge fine applies for smoking. I also found a piece of gum attached to the wall above the towel holder. It looked like it had been there for a while. Also, the pool was rather filthy. I've been in quite a few many lakes and rivers in my time, but I skipped this one. I've been in other BW hotels in the same trip, and those were cleaner and better serviced. I guess I just was unlucky with this one

I booked this hotel ahead of time as we were driving through on the way home from a long road trip. While we didn’t check in until almost 11p.m. The room we were put in did not look like the pictures it was advertised as. The hotel is close to downtown Bakersfield and while it is gated, the rooms and most all of the hotel isn’t updated. Whenever we arrived to our room, it was hot, no AC was on, and there were very clearly oily handprints on the headboard above the bed. It was okay for a quick nights sleep but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Prices of water, soda, and snacks were extremely high.

Room was super convenient to the arena we were going to. Only complaint is the door we were placed next to. It was an exit, and we heard literally everyone leaving. Not a great thing to get woken up to.
