The first room we had smelled like mildew. We asked for another and it also smelled but not as bad.

Booked what we thought was the hotel section but when we arrived we were given a room in the "motel" section (outdoor entrance to room). Old AC hanging out of window, peeled paint on door, musty smell in room. We had just spent money there as part of a wedding (Rehearsal dinner, Rooms, etc). When I asked for a room in the Hotel, the response was smug and was asked, "what do you want me to do, we have no rooms". What happened to the hospitality training/mindset. There were rooms as I checked in early. Why was I given this room and not someone who checked in later. Their attitude said to me that we don't need your business as we are busy and doing well without you. Someday you may need my business.

This is a great hotel esp when traveling with families. The outdoor pool area is beautiful and has a wonderful combination of sun and shade! My 11 y/o even found a basketball hoop/ balls in the rear parking lot. Gardens, a creek and wooded areas all around to explore. A great value with an included hot breakfast every morning and free parking! Just outside West Hartford! a step stool in bathroom for little kids

The ambiance was lovely and peaceful. The room and bathroom well appointed and clean. We were in town for a wedding and it was a very convenient location.

The property very clean the staff amazing breakfast. Every morning was very much appreciated. It’s a long walk between check-in and your new building. I think that’s somewhere down the road. They get off of a little shuttle golf cart type vehicle to get you up to the other area.

We had a relaxing stay with breakfast included and a secluded pool - plenty of shops and restaurants nearby situated in the hills of Avon, CT.
