Moxy Asheville Downtown

The moxy is very nice and the staff is great. The property has lots of nice amenities: hip outdoor pool with cabanas (for rent), a spacious gym, chic bar in the lobby, and a fancy rooftop restaurant and bar with beautiful views. But for travelers who’ve never stayed at a Moxy, just understand that the rooms are very European: the bathroom has a drain in the middle of the floor and water tends to just sit there, which can breed unhealthy microbes; the two queen beds face each other; there are no closets or drawers and thus nowhere to put your clothes save for a few hooks on the wall. These are more critiques of the style of the place, though, and otherwise it is a very nice hotel situated downtown and close to nearly everything.

Great place downtown. Right near Asheville yard. So you can walk to your concert. Also came with a free drink at the bar

The rooms are small but great for 1 person or 2 who are comfortable in tight quarters. Smart design with the sink outside the bathroom.

Moxy was great! Rooftop bar was amazing as well!

Everything was wonderful!

The hotel is fun and has a great vibe. The room was clean and bed comfortable. There were a couple of things that didn’t work for us. First the room is really small. There is no closet and the sink for the bathroom is in the room. There isn’t room to lay out two suitcases…maybe one. But there also isn’t any place to unpack and store your stuff except for the pegs on the wall. The other thing was the back and side wall of the shower are frosted glass and are what divides the bathroom from the room. This is a problem if someone wants to get up early and take a shower… when the light comes on in the bathroom it lights up the whole room!

Great atmosphere

Great hotel for my quick weekend getaway to Asheville. Small but clean room with comfortable bed. Front desk/bar is clean and the staff are very friendly. pretty good location- walkable to great restaurants. Airport is a 20 min drive.

Great little spot for a quick stay

I stayed here alone and the staff helped me to feel safe and comfortable. They also gave me great recommendations on places to go and how to safely get there. The property itself is beautiful and very convenient and walkable to many shops and restaurants.

Hands down the best experience 360* in every possible direction you can possibly have at a hotel! I will go out of my way to stay here again!!!!

Great location!

This hidden gem in downtown Asheville is a must stay, say, for a long weekend. Total Eur midmodern chic. Two great bars (lobby & rooftop). Restaurant, pool, and direct covered parking.

The Moxy is a Marriott hotel. I had no idea when booking. The game area and decor were nice and eclectic. The staff was helpful and friendly. But, I was disappointed in the rooms. The rooms are tiny to say the least. It’s actually a little smaller than my son’s dorm room. There is no closet just pegs on the wall to hang your clothes and one little drawer to put clothes in under each bed in a room with 2 queens. There is a safe under one of the beds and a place to stash a small suitcase under the bed but you are literally living out of your suitcase. There is no where on site to get a nice breakfast. There are a few items available for breakfast next door at their sister hotel Aloft. The bathroom was tiny and hard to navigate around with the shower door. And there were no hooks to hang your clothes on in order to dress when u get out of the shower. It’s difficult to reach behind the shower door to get your towel after you have showered unless u lay it on the floor of the toilet. I wish there site explained better that they are a minimalist hotel in the Marriott chain. I actually overheard another guest compare it to a youth hostile but the prices of the rooms don’t reflect that.

Loved the complimentary drinks at check in. Location is fantastic— heart of downtown Asheville

Great location and nice staff. Room design was a bit awkward and the room fridge was too small to be useful. Overall, a pleasant stay, but I prefer the Aloft next door.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It smells amazing, was super clean, the rooms are adorable and everyone was very nice. We will be back.

Best part of this hotel is the location. Rooms very small. Hated the bathroom see through shower. Won’t stay here again. But did like Asheville.
