Motel 6 Anaheim, CA - Convention Center

Only the location No customer service the room was dirty. They had used soap in the room and you were never able to get a hold of anybody at the front desk no phones in the room no vending machines like they show on the website.

Nothing! Where should I start, Reservation for 8/13 thru 8/16. They checked me into a room that was out of order, NO lamps in the room. Not all of the bedding was there. Room was not cleaned at all. The 2nd day they moved me to another room after I complained at front desk. The bathtub in that room kept backing up with sewer water and chunks of black stuff kept filling the tub, the smell was horrible. I checked out the 2nd day and told them I would not be staying the 3rd day due to all the issues. I was refunded the 3rd day. After I checked out I contacted Booking.com as they made the reservation. After I complained about the two day stay, they called the property direct while I was on hold. They were instructed They would refund the balance of days 1 and 2. Waited almost two weeks now. Now I get an email from Booking.com that the Hotel is now refusing to refund the balance.

Odd that it was an automated check-in, person on a screen instead of behind the counter. Walking distance to the Anaheim convention center and arguably to Disneyland/Downtown Disney/California Adventure. Walls are thin so be prepared to hear folks leaving early or your neighbors. Funky layout of the room, door to the bathroom specifically. AC was amazing!

The video check in was hard to understand the person, the room was changed at last minute and while trying 2 check in the smell of Marijuana was unbelievable people outside we're smoking and it all went inside the check in are the room entrance also smelled like it. Pretty bad experience

Exceptional

First off there was a very inconvenient and unfriendedly kiosk for check in, and while I love technology this was not it. They tried to add a $40 early check in fee when I arrived 8 minutes prior to check in. The parking is awkward and nobody tells you where to go or if it's okay to park in certain places. Rooms are just barely maintained to be comfortable staying there with my kids. Windows not blocked in the rooms makes for a bright and awkward wake up. There's also no amenities, and I mean none, we had to use the vending machine at the hotel next door. It's in an okay distance to everything Anaheim has nearby, a bit far to walk to Disney with kids though. It is affordable though so I guess that's a plus.

We were dismayed by the pitiful lobby and unsecure luggage storage. The lobby was NOT staffed 24 hours and the door to luggage storage was not locked. We spent a lot on souvenirs from D23 and were afraid to store our luggage in the lobby so we had to buy an extra night just to keep our luggage locked up.

Staff was amazing. Nice and helpful. The room was mostly clean, however we did notice mold spots on the shower. Also the hot water would come in waves even during non-peak times with other people showering. But with that said, we had air conditioning, parking was free. And for this property, you are getting what you paid for. Also the bed was comfortable too. Overall an okay experience.

We requested 2 queen beds and were given 2 Full Beds. First room we checked into had no running water in the sink, and no power at the outlet by the sink. 2nd Room they gave us was a complete downgrade, the beds were older and much firmer, instead of a tub/shower combo tall enough to support tall people like myself, it was a shower only with a much shorter shower head. We did see one dead roach in our room. Other than that, the room was fairly clean.

It was the perfect size. Two rooms for our family of five.It just need to be updated.

I enjoyed how comfortable the bed was. I slept really well. I appreciate the refrigerator and microwave. Bring your own food and everything is perfect. There are places to get food and a connivence store close by. For the price it makes sense.

My advice, don't always trust the reviews.

OK place to stay, but room renovations were a bit on the shabby side. Met my needs for conference I was attending, but my wife would not have stayed there.

Free water the air conditioner was noisy inside the room. compounded by the air conditioner from the opposite room. the rattling sound when the compressor kicks in resulted in intermittently very loud. I didn't sleep that first night. the opposite room was vacated the following 2 nights. slightly more pleasant.

Room was very spacious. There was not alot of noise in or around the motel. Parking was ok but once lot was full you have to find other place to park and walk to the Motel 6. Check in was a kiosk was not difficult but still good to have a friendly person to help out if any issues arise. I had an issue with my room and it was handled as soon as I let staff know. The ac was great kept room cool. There are a few restaurants and fast food within walking distance. I stayed for almost a week for a conference. Price paid was reasonable given that it was close to Disneyland.

The housekeeping staff was friendly and was always happy to help. I asked for a couple garbage bags for laundry and a broom to sweep sand out of my car for the beach and they were more than accommodating. Also, the distance from the park is very walkable if you are trying to save money. The fact that it’s a Motel 6 should not give it an excuse to be in that bad of shape! The bathroom was GROSS! There was mold all around the window, the bathtub was chipped, stained and looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a very long time. The toilet had a loose seat and struggled to flush completely. We found a very dirty black shirt tucked under the mattress of one of our beds! Makes me wonder if the sheets were even changed after the last guest because it definitely should have been found by just removing the comforter. The shower water never got above lukewarm and the sink constantly sputtered. We came back to the room after dinner to a note on the door that said the water to the whole place would be shut off from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm the next day for a repair that “could not be helped.” I understand that things like that happen but honestly, it just added to the already disappointing experience. We asked for more towels the second day because there wasn’t enough for the 5 of us (in our room that slept 6) and the room was so humid that the towels from the night before were still wet. We were told we could not have more because that was too many. I’ve never been told no to a request for more towels! After some unpleasant back and forth with the front desk person, she finally, begrudgingly, gave us more towels but made sure we knew that she had logged it in the computer, even showing us the screen for us to verify. It was so weird! I will never stay here again, especially since we have stayed at other hotels all around the area at about the same value that are so much cleaner and have a friendlier reception staff. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Nasty!!! Overall from the reception to the rooms!!!! Do not stay here!! Bed bugs and roaches all over!!!

Roll of TP. Check on was great. Automated check out. Fairly quiet. Nice size refrigerator and small microwave. Towels need refreshing. Good stay.
