Décor Canal House

The location was perfect. Right on a canal and within walking distance to all attractions. It was like a studio apartment on the second floor. Had everything we needed. Fridge was partially stocked with beverages. Portable air conditioner kept the room very cool. Microwave heated up or leftovers. TV had premium channels like Netflix. It’s not the easiest to find. There is a tiny somber sign hidden behind a small potted tree. Also, because homes in Amsterdam are necessarily narrow, the stairs tend to be very steep. Fortunately I’m still in good enough shape to get up and down.

Location is excellent. Near the 9 streets. Peaceful at night. Room is clean and has all the amenities needed. Host BP and Jonathan are very accommodating. They went an extra mile for my wife and I. We truly had an amazing experience. Unforgettable Stay. We'll definitely stay when we go back in Amsterdam. this place is homey!! There are no elevators or room service. I know what i booked so it's totally fine for me. make sure to read well before you book. You must carry your luggage on the steep stair case. No worries for me.

Location was fantastic Pictures showed a different room. So the room we got was different. There was a smell from the bathroom it was not pleasant. There is no luggage storage which was not explicitly communicated before booking. Only told after confirmation. For a non refundable room, that was very disappointing.

The place is so cute, such a great view and location. The mattress was very comfy. Water pressure in shower was good. The complimentary snacks and drinks were so nice. The bed pillow was so terrible. Impossible to sleep on. And the bath robes provided, I think are for children

-Location was perfect, picturesque part of the canal area, walkable to Dam Square, Amsterdam Centraal and nearby restaurants and museums; -While it was a self check-in accommodation, instructions were clear and precise and host never failed to send reminders. Host was reachable and responds promptly if with concerns; -we slept and stayed well over the 4 nights we have booked the place. There was constant reminder of noise from the street and host even prepared earbuds, but we did not bother to use as noise levels were manageable; -Clean bedsheets and towels -Agree on the steep flight of stairs as we stayed at 1st level. But we managed and it was easier on our way down with much heavier luggage as we can carefully drag down the carpeted stairs

Although small, the room was cozy, clean, and quiet with a great bed. Everything was within walking distance including many breakfast to dinner restaurants. We loved the location and even all the rain!

I loved the location of the property and how everything is so close to you but at the same time its cozy and quiet Nothing, it was perfect

Beautiful room in the very best location in Amsterdam! We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do during our stay! Museums, parks, amazing food, gorgeous canals, and incredible shopping just steps from this hotel! The room was beautiful and the beds were SO comfy with amazing blackout curtains. We would absolutely stay here again!! we did not know we could not store our luggage! We used bounce, but many of the places are not open before 11am so it was tough finding a place to store our luggage before check in

The apartment was amazing and the Jordaan neighborhood was the perfect location! Everything was wonderful. Nothing negative to report.

Great location, very clean, the bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept, host is very nice to provide compliments upon arrival. Nice and cozy! Canal view is great and there was a concert on Princengracht during our stay, which we literally listened and watched through our room window! The property is highly recommended. Stairs are too steep, difficult to carry luggage especially for ladies :)

The house was a typical Dutch home, very beautiful with an old-time vibe, yet renovated as a modern apartment with all the necessary appliances. The maintenance was excellent, and the location was fantastic. We were there during the Pride Parade, which took place entirely on the canal right below our window, and it was a unique experience. Despite the steep Dutch stairs leading up to the apartment from street level, our stay was wonderful and very enjoyable.

Great location, great room with canal view They use a very fragrant air freshener/cleaner, which caused my asthma to get activated. They, of course didn’t know that I was sensitive to strong smells.

small but cozy room, overlooking the courtyard. Very clean; comfortable mattress and pillows, quiet, a nice bonus in the form of a bottle of wine and sweets and water with juice. Cleaning every day. Convenient check-in. Good location; all attractions within walking distance. I recommend The towel dryer in the bathroom didn't work and it was damp.

The property location was perfect for visiting and exploring Amsterdam. The accommodation was homely and made it a very relaxing holiday. We will definitely use this again. Nothing really. Information on the location of the nearest supermarket if I was really looking for something the say.

The apartment was as lovely as in the photos, and the host was congenial and helpful. The location was perfect -- walking distance to all the museums, markets, restaurants and other things we enjoyed seeing. And the view of the canal and bridge was a quintessentially picturesque Amsterdam view.

Great location. 20-30 minute walk from Museum Quarter, Jewish Quarter and the city center. Two blocks from the Anne Frank house. Very comfortable room but be aware that it’s up a steep one story flight of stairs.

The location and view were perfect. Very nice to have a refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. My wife loved the coffee machine. It was also nice having some snacks and drinks provided. All the sounds from street level are clearly heard in the room. People entering the front door and climbing the stairs can also be heard. Light sleepers could have issues. There was a very high step needed to get into the shower. Elderly people or those with mobility issues should use caution. Also, typical steep stairway up to the room. This is to be expected in a canal house.
