Great location, cozy quirky home, large room with a terrace, warm and welcoming hosts. The breakfast was also very nice and a wonderful way to start the day! Nothing

Phillip and Xaviera are gracious, helpful hosts who run a B&B that definitely feels like a home. My room was an eclectic but well-furnished collection of furniture--definitely not an antiseptic hotel room--with an outdoor deck. Breakfast was filling and tasty, and there are a dog and cat to pet while you eat. The location is excellent if you're going to the RAI Convention Center. It also is in a nice neighborhood south of downtown and near Beatrix Park. In terms of value for money, you get a good deal with Xaviera and Phillip (and quite a backstory!). Just don't expect anything ultra-chic or hotel-like. I knew I was getting a room with a bathroom across a narrow hall. That said, both the toilet and separate shower-plus-sink were pretty claustrophobic. Also, as is often the case in old homes, the stairs from ground floor are narrow and steep, so you need to be careful going up and down them.

It’s local and the host is very hospitality and kind. Will be back if there’s a second chance. Thanks Philip, hope you and your wife are well.

The breakfast is all what you need to start your day. The coffee is nice, eggs, cheese and nice European breakfast. Philip and Xaviera are amazing! Almost nothing! Everything was good. It was a 3 nights stay, I got all what is needed.

The hosts were lovely and happy to accommodate early breakfast in our room due to tour bookings. Easy access to public transport. There was a slight cat smell.

Good location and friendly owners always ready to give advice about Amsterdam! Tasty breakfast and nice apartments

The hosts were friendly and welcoming The bathroom is located in the shared hallway, which reduces comfort. The room needed additional cleaning — while looking for an extra blanket, we noticed mouse droppings in the wardrobe. There was a strong, distinctive smell in the house, similar to a hospital. We lacked privacy during breakfast, as we had to share the table with the host without the option for a private space. It felt more like staying over at distant relatives' house rather than having a private getaway

Large room with a kitchenette including microwave, stovetop, and small fridge which was very convenient. More like a studio apartment, it even has a bonus little study. The house is old, which gives it character and charm, and the space is clean and tidy. Great location, walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and several different public transportation options. You can walk to the museum district or take a quick tram ride just a couple stops. Hosts were very kind, responsive, and accommodating. They responded to messages right away and did whatever they could do to make us comfortable, including accommodating our preferred breakfast times, offering room cleaning during our stay, and allowing us to keep our car in their lot for the afternoon after we checked out (we paid extra for parking during our stay). We only partook in the breakfast a coupled days and it isn't anything ostentatious, but it was enough for us, with eggs cooked how you'd like, bread or other baked goods, fruit, yogurt, and coffee. Not so much a problem for us, but just FYI there are 2 flights of stairs to the room we stayed in, and the second set is very steep. May not be accessible for everyone. If you're looking for a nice new modern place, this is not it.

We loved our stay with Xaviera and Phillip. The accommodation is in a beautiful and comfortable house, full of character, in a lovely neighborhood. The room has a very confortable bed, a new frigobar, a round table and chairs, robes, books, and the floor and table lamps are perfect for setting up the light we need. The big balcony is a treat, even in cold weather. We also pretty much enjoyed their breakfast as well as having their nice assistant help us out.

Our bed is more comfortable than most star hotels, the location is very good, the breakfast is well-deserved and the host tries to make you feel good. The price is cheaper than most Amsterdam hotels. Everything was perfect . They work hard to make you feel good

fantastic & interesting characterful house, delicious breakfasts, & the most wonderful hosts in a beautiful neighbourhood of Amsterdam - thank you Xaviera & Phillip for a memorable week - we loved staying with you both. Our top floor room was perfect, and very spacious with kitchenette too.

Really nice people, Xaviera and Philippe, They are animal friendly, our dog became a friend with their dog Luna within 24 hours, and they are very interesting people when you ask for personal life experiences. Wonderful people, great place, great heart, great soul, a place to recommend. Xaviera worked as a diva with famous people and she may tell you her story, it's very interesting and gives you a lot of informations. The moment when you take your coffee in teh morning is really great, our dog played outside with their dog, and we had very interesting conversations, with many good infos about Amsterdam ! I really recommand this place. May you be blessed my friends. The second stair leading to the best place, it was very steep and too much for our dog, but they gave us another room, perfect. They really try to find solutions for you. With a lot of heart. great people, trust them !
