Pleasant corner room on 3rd floor, bright and engaging view across main street. Comfortable bed. Good powerful shower. Easy access to rooftop sauna and hot tubs. Friendly staff. Wooden stools were fine and functional, but would have enjoyed a comfortable seat to relax in. A small fridge adds so much utility value to a hotel room.

Loved the bed, very comfortable. The rooftop bar and hot tub/bar was super cool and we loved eating breakfast in the lobby every morning. I didn't like the pole shelving. We had nowhere but the floor to place our luggage. I would have preferred to couple of folding luggage racks over the pole shelving. Also, I would have preferred a more private shower, even though 2/3rd of the shower was covered.

**A Wonderful Stay at Volkshotel Amsterdam** I truly enjoyed my stay at Volkshotel Amsterdam — it exceeded my expectations in every way! The room was modern, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with lovely colors and excellent air conditioning. I originally chose the hotel mainly because of its convenient location near my son’s football training, but I quickly discovered that the area itself was one of the things I loved most. It is in a more residential part of Amsterdam, away from the very busy city center, with a lovely atmosphere and a mix of students, professionals, and local life. I especially loved the lobby. I loved the decoration : here and then old tv, old dactilo, the warm furniture design..... It feels like a café and a social space all in one. On the right, there is a quiet working area that almost feels like being in a university library, while on the left there is a warm living area with delicious croissants and great coffee by the way. One of our highlights was breakfast at the restaurant on the 7th floor — absolutely delicious, and my son and I really enjoyed it. We also loved the hot tubs on the 8th floor, which were such a wonderful way to relax after a busy day and even at 7 am in the morning to begin our summer days with good energy. Overall, Volkshotel gave us much more than just a place to stay. It had a great atmosphere, beautiful design, excellent facilities, and a real sense of community. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it! ❤️ I honestly loved everything about my stay. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be the housekeeping schedule. I’m more used to towels being changed automatically every one or two days, especially towels for the showers and hot tubs. Here, cleaning was scheduled every four days unless requested, so I would have preferred a more frequent automatic towel change, perhaps every two days.
