The young man who greeted us was very kind and accommodating. The staircase was incredibly steep and very narrow (and especially difficult with luggage). The first floor has shops, so the hotel"s desk is located on the second floor. Our room was another climb up. This is a place for young people (20's & 30s) traveling for the weekend (luggage is a backpack). The bathroom was clean, yet extremely small. Do request a fan because there is no air circulation. The photos are a bit deceiving -- everything looks larger and less crowded and the staircase is actually longer and steeper.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily The room is very small but has all necessary amenities The stairs are high and the room itself is small, so having big luggage might be a problem. For me it was fine. But I was not ready that shower would live its own life - the water is running chaotically.

Great location and friendly staff! Those stairs were scary!

The location was excellent...so close to Ann Frank House, Westermarkt and Dam Square. Easy walk from Central Station The budget room was a bit small but it had everything I needed, even a mini fridge. Definitely for one person, for a short stay when you don't need to dig into your luggage. The stairs!!! Typical Dutch...very steep but I knew that when I booked the hotel. But someone rushed down to take my bag and I only had to navigate them a few times.

The staff were very supportive and even gave us a city map with recommendations for places to visit during our short stay. The room was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The location is excellent and within walking distance of most tourist attractions and only about a 15-minute walk to the train station. The stairs are quite steep and a bit tricky, but this seems to be typical of the architectural style in the Netherlands and actually adds to the experience. NA

We liked the location - 20 minutes walk from the center. We liked the fact that our room was clean, clean towels, clean sheets, and a soft bed. The stairs.. there are a lot of stairs narrow and steep. Be careful walking up and down especially with heavy bags! We found the beds to be uneven, leaning to one side a little bit. The the room itself and the bathroom was very small, and it was kind of awkward to move around. We also did not like the fact that the walls were very thin and we could hear the next door.

It’s a 2 star hotel, don’t expect anything fancy. It’s fine for what it is. Like many small hotels in Amsterdam it’s up a flight of steep and narrow stairs. My single room was tiny, but again that’s ok. The bed would not work for anyone over 6’ tall. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Room was a bit shabby, but cleaned daily. No coffee setup in the room, but a small fridge, and a window that opens which is nice. It’s fine, keeping in mind that it’s a 2 star hotel.
