Mister Highland Hotel

Excellent location in the heart of Amsterdam, within walking distance of the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Nothing. Everything met our expectations.

Great, central location. Clean room. Excellent breakfast buffet with fresh coffee. Elevator in building. Easy check in and out. Offer free refreshments at reception lounge area which is very convenient after a long day walking. Friendly staff. AC Working great. Very clean. Quiet. Room is very small. Sink is next to bed and not in bathroom which is not convenient for 3 people in the room. No counter space next to sink to put our things. Night out curtains make room dark but there are several annoying lights (on mirror, on AC switch) that we had to cover to be able to sleep. Only tiny trash bin.

Location We got a ground floor room w steep stairs. The one window we got was facing a stairwell that people used to sit on all day. The hotel needs to be more upfront about types of room during the booking process. The sink was in the room not the bathroom. Other than that: it was clean, and in perfect location.

Location and beds for 3 Besides the initial check-in and final checkout, the staff didn’t seem happy - no smiles, borderline rude, indifferent. Of our six country trip, the most disappointing service overall.

All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, we were made to feel very welcome. The decor was very cosy and quirky modern, and the room very clean, comfortable and good value. The free snacks and drinks in reception were a really nice touch and very much appreciated after our flight.

Location was excellent and the snacks and drinks were nice although being able to grab a water to take with you when touring would be helpful. There's little room to put things. Would be nice if you could put your toiletries somewhere around the sink. There's not much space for that.

Central location made it easy to get around, Beds were super comfortable, complimentary wine & beer in lobby, breakfast was convenient and great

In the city center..close to all the attractions..free beer wine soda and snacks all day The towels were frayed and had holes in them..they spray the place with some kinda of air freshener and it smells like bug spray..you have to walk up several steps to get into hotel and there is a huge pit at the bottom of the stairs u have to walk around..the fruit salad for breakfast was sour tasting because it's been around too long..the room is very small with a very small twin bed and my room was on the street side so it was real loud..u need earplugs..don't stay here..

Hotel is in a good location. Breakfast is good. No place to sit in the room except on the bed. The top floor rooms are a bit dusty. The city view room is very small with slanting ceilings. There is very little room to move about. Would not recommend for two people.

The bill is all messed up - billed over $1000 per night. Lamps filled with dust

The hotel is a situated in a central place, next to metro station, and 10min from Amsterdam Central station. The hotel stuff was very friendly, The cleanliness can be improved. The sound isolation (because of the wood) is very poor, and walking in the neighboring rooms and above can be heard. I prefer rooms where window can be opened.

The desk attendants were very nice and helpful getting our bags to and from our room as there was no elevator to the basement. Enjoy the free beer, wine, and snacks in the lobby. And the bed was very comfortable. We did not realize we were getting a basement room with no elevator, only a spiral staircase. There was no way we could get our bags to and from the lobby. Also, the room was under the lobby and we could hear noise throughout the night.
