Reviews

The location is perfectly close to everything without having to be in central district. Everything was great.
-
The staff was very friendly The location. Steps away from transportation and the market
-
Location It was extremely dirty and half of the things in the room were broken
-
The staff were so wonderful here and very accommodating. The beds were quite comfy and the bathroom relatively spacious. However, the unit itself was quite small and minimalistic so perhaps a bit too costly.

I travel a lot and I’ve stayed at a good amount of ibis among other hotels but this location was absolutely horrible. It’s old. The water doesn’t drain well, the water pressure was horrible. The bed wasn’t two twins put together. Hard as a rock. I stayed there for a solid week and regretted every night. I was on the top floor so I had to drag my suit case up a flight of stairs that I couldn’t fit my feet on…but that’s typical Amsterdam skinny spiraling stairs so I can’t fault ibis for. This hotel is in need of a major renovation.
-
we stayed in the "loft" - which was a short and steep staircase; the receptionist was completely transparent about it and gave us a choice to wait for another room; we selected the adventure up the stairs and loved our room!

Right next to bus line that gets you everywhere. Some bars and restos nearby Room very small and outdated

The hotel's location is excellent! There's a food market nearby, plenty of cafes and small shops, and the old town is within walking distance. The room is clean, the toilet and shower are brand new, the shower water is hot, and the internet is fast. The staff are very polite, always ready to help, and smiling. The room is very small — there's no way to sit at the desk as there isn't enough space for a chair. At the entrance, instead of a coat rack, there are just two hooks on the wall. The room has a kettle, but for brewing there was only one tea bag and apparently expired single-serve sticks of instant coffee and creamer. My window looked out onto the entrance of another room. The most uncomfortable thing was the pillow. It felt as if it was stuffed with lumps of some kind of filling, packed very tightly — sleeping in a normal position was impossible. Overall, this matched my expectations — it's not a luxury hotel, but it was priced like one.

nothing specifically but it could be a little cheaper

Everything

Location, size of the room, fried stuff, close to city center, Albert Cuyp market, restaurants, tram and Supermarkets next to the hotel. I found a used tissue of a former guest on the floor. No music channel in TV.
-
The bed was too hard and the pillow was even worse. I asked the personnel if they had any others but they didn't. Also the isolation was bad so I could here the street outside and the people walking by. Time for better windows?
-
Lacking electrical wall outlet to charge phone
-
The cleanliness of towels and the carpet, which was awful
-
My reservation was for a basement room as I heard the stairs are narrow etc. They gave us the attic room at check in, with the stairs I was trying to avoid
-
Very good

The kindnesses of the staff
-
The shower and the breakfast.

Nice location. Clean. Tight spaces, bad pillows.
