The staff wasn’t the most friendly. One guy was much nicer than the other

It was record heat in Amsterdam when I visited.
-
Perfect location, It was a heatwave and the room didn't have a fun. It was really hard to sleep.

For a family, it was so nice to have the space that we had! We had a living room, a bedroom, kitchen, and loft area. We had a beautiful view of the water, the location was perfect for exploring, and we were able to check in early. The hotel was very accommodating. The room had been cleaned, but the bathroom had a smell of cat urine/stale urine that only got worse after a shower. The loft felt very unsafe (a ladder to access and the railing did not go all the way around) and I wouldn't let my children sleep up there. There was also a stale urine smell on the stairs to reach the unit.

The room was the size viewed on the site. Location was central and all was within walking distance. It was in the center of the city and we needed no public transportation or taxi service. Restaurants, shopping and entertainment was close and abundant.

Red neon sign lit up the room every night, all night.

The hotel was quite old but very quaint. The rooms were small but what do you expect for a traditional house on a canal. The bathrooms could be updated a bit. The location was excellent! The concierge was AMAZING! Anything at all that we asked for, he provided with a smile and was incredibly gracious!! I would recommend staying here for sure! The only thing is I can say negatively about Amsterdam house is the showers. We stayed in 2 rooms and both bath showers are old and need upgrading. But again, the house is a traditional Netherlands house and it was really cute.

Location was excellent. Manager was very helpful and friendly and gave good advice about places to see. Ample breakfast. The hotel is small and old fashioned but facilities in the room were modern. Would definitely return there and recommend to friends
-
Beautiful views of the canal in an historic building close to everything. Staff was friendly with good recommendations. Refrigerator didn’t work, with no effort to replace or repair. The weather was warmer than usual, with no air conditioning available, but fans were delivered on request.

I love that it was close to everything. The breakfast was excellent. Not really anything

My daughter and I loved the staff (Andrew and Ronaldo went above and beyond) and made us feel like family. The breakfast was great and had lots of options and the coffee was the best! Our room had a view of the canal and we loved all the comings and goings on the canal. We especially liked coming back after dinner and sitting out front with drinks and snacks (provided by the hotel) and watching the activity without the crowds of the bars. nothing to add here

Has a good location The attention by staff was incredible I really loved it
-
Location is superb. We paid for a room with canal view, worth it! Room 11 was better size-wise than room 12 which we tried the week before.
-
We booked canal view, absolutely worth it. This hotel is extremely central, yet in a quiet area.
-
The only positive side of the apartment I would say is the location. It had nice view to the canals and it was quite central location. The apartment was located at the roof of a separate building which was mentioned in the description and had steep stairs that you have to go up which is not suitable for older and young kids There was distinctive bad odor in the whole building and there was no door in the entrance of the apartment that we were staying which allowed all the smell to reach to the bedrooms and living room area. There was a kitchenette which had uncleaned pots and plates and leftover food in the fridge. The wooden stairs leading to upstairs beds was old and felt unsafe to go up and down. The owner of the property was not helpful when we told him about the really bad animal smell in the whole building.
-
Very comfortable bed! Ronald and Andrew very nice & helpful front desk! Perfect location to transportation, restaurants and beautiful Amsterdam canals! Would stay here again! Everything was perfect! Not a single complaint!
-
I love the uniqueness of it. The owner was extremely nice. N/A
-
We did not mind the stairs but if you have limited mobility the staircase to the room we booked is a bit narrow and steep.
-
The property had a lift, albeit a bit strange. Area was pleasant. Staff was nice.

We have stayed here several times because of the helpful staff and great location. The room has a terrific view of the canal and the beautiful buildings on the other side.
