NH Amsterdam Noord

I liked the space of the hotel room. It was quite large for typical hotels in the Netherlands. It was quite old. The first floor was nice and remodeled but by the time we got to the elevator, it was quite old with old carpet and our floor of the hotel needed remodeling.

Clean rooms. Comfortable stay No noise , the hotel is in a quiet surrounding Free dedicated parking: ideal if you have a car Breakfast is good ( not overwhelming) We arrived at 10 PM. Reception couldn t find the reservation ( 2 rooms). Furthermore he couldn't t give us at first a room with 2 single beds . It took a lot of pressure so he could finally accept to do so, eventhough it was specified in my special request during reservation

Price way to high for hotel standard

We had breakfast, and it was very good. The rooms are clean, and although the hotel is a little far from the ferry, they provide free transportation to and from the ferry terminal, which makes it feel much closer.

The hotel was managed by friendly a helpful staff. As we entered the lobby we were greeted with flavored water and small treats which was a bonus as we were in Amsterdam during a record heat wave. Rooms were clean and provided a comfortable place to regroup for our stay. The issue we had (and it was minor) was the miscommunication (at times) between the front desk and th shuttle drivers. There were a few occassions when we called for a pickup, but the driver was not imformed in a timely manner. Not a huge issue, but an area that can be improved.

Friendly staff, breakfast options were great, room was clean and they honoured my birthday request! They offer rides to Amsterdam Central as well Bathroom sink wasn’t very clean. Probably cleaned in a hurry

Location

I liked the fact it had an excercize room with quite an array of equipment. The breakfast included in the package was well worth the price. The property is a bit of a distance from the centre of Amsterdam but compensated by free shuttle service running to and from the hotel to the free ferry service to Amsterdam Central - the shuttle service is 8:00 am to 11:45 pm.

The facilities. And the treatment provided by the staff was awful.

Location was seamless and shuttle drivers very efficient Breakfast was 20 euro each and was mediocre! Had better at continental inclusive breakfast hotel. Staff at pub in evening were rude and food was awful!d well for our visit to Amsterdam.. I would not eat there however sandwhich and coffee in cafe was great

the kindness of the staff, the variety of breakfast, the effort to protect the environment. the pleasant surprise on my birthday with the kind chocolate wishes and the offer of drinks for me and my company. the only drawback is the distance from the center of Amsterdam and the attractions, which they successfully address by running the hotel's minibus to transport customers to the pier with the ferries that cross the canal, also free of charge, and disembark at the train station. Personally, I particularly liked the process because it gave me the opportunity to experience the daily life of the local residents of the area. finally the cost of accommodation which is much more affordable than similar hotels in the center.

Staff was excellent and breakfast was very good The shower is too messy. Water splatters everywhere. Enclose it all and provide a fan to evacuate moisture.

The breakfast was very mid; location wasn’t that great but was able to walk to public transport easily. Prices were too high but I guess that’s typical of Amsterdam?

The heating systems were a failure. We had three different rooms with our friends, and they all had heating problems. They offered to help change rooms, but the new room had the same problem. We stayed for three nights using a heater. Also, the curtains had large stains.

The hotel breakfast was great and very quiet which was nice. Lovely bathroom with heated towels in the morning. Ideal for a one night stay for work. My room was on a floor with a lot of construction or painting going on, and it would have been helpful to have had this explained as I wasn't expecting to see that as I came out of the lift. Just more communication about that would have been nice.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very warm. I didn’t like the separate toilet and shower/sink. It’s inconvenient. Also there was no counter space in the bathroom.

Showers were a bit erratic and was hard to shower comfortably. Some lights were out in the room.
