The only negative of the stay is the building is very poorly insulated for sound to the other rooms and the upstairs room was up all night making a lot of noise making it difficult to sleep.

Location I was really disappointed with my stay. The hotel looks much nicer online than it does in person. The photos give the impression of a beautiful boutique hotel with a bespoke, bohemian feel, but the reality was very different. The building was covered in scaffolding, and the hotel itself is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Before my stay, the hotel had agreed to do something special for my birthday, but when I arrived, nothing had been prepared. I mentioned this to the staff, who apologized and offered me a complimentary bottle of champagne or wine instead. They told me I could collect it later since I was heading out, assuring me that someone would be available 24 hours a day and that the handover would be noted. Getting to my room wasn’t a great experience either. There was so much construction going on that it felt unsettling, and I genuinely questioned whether guests should even be staying on that floor. My room didn’t even have a visible number, so I had to guess which door was mine. Once inside, I found the room to be extremely small with no view whatsoever. The only real positive was that the air conditioning worked well. The biggest disappointment came the following morning when I went to collect the complimentary gift I had been promised. The staff member on duty was incredibly rude. He insisted he knew nothing about it and refused to honor what the previous staff had offered, even after I showed him the messages confirming the arrangement and explained who I had spoken to. He showed no interest in helping or resolving the issue, which left a very poor impression. Overall, this hotel is not worth the price. Between the misleading photos, ongoing construction, tiny rooms, poor communication, and disappointing customer service, I wouldn’t recommend staying here in its current state. The lift is also incredibly small and feels quite claustrophobic. The only real advantage is the location, which is convenient.

There needs to be more cleaning of the lift, there is a strong odor there. There is no option to connect to Netflix or smart view through the phone. Other than that the place was really nice, big bedroom and bathroom. Abspultley reccomend!

Location They were renovating when I was there, it looked like a internal construction area

  • Engine customer May 2026

There is an active construction in the hotel that no one tells you about. The light in the bathroom doesn’t turn off, there’s like a 100 light switches in the room, but none for the bathroom. It was impossible to get into the hotel, no one was opening the doors for 15 min

We absolutely loved the room!! it was spacious, modern, cute and comfortable. The bathroom was updated and the led lights were such a fun touch, we loved out view as well!

The breakfast was very humble. The room was so small that there was no space for a chair in front of a desk.

The location There are too many too list. I bought the most expensive room in the hotel. All night I can hear people up shouting coming in and out of the lobby ringing the doorbell. In the morning 730 am they are working on the place saws and music. The staff is the loudest in the world laughing and talking so loud you would think they owned the place and didnt care about return service. Most of the staff had no idea how things worked. The room had basic cable but no way to stream from your computer or hook an hdmi cable. So no romantic movie with tub. The shots of the room is almost like it is a entirely different room. They have special lighting but only for the toilet go figure. I'm sure it's a deal for the other rooms but I felt like inqad at a hostel while paying top dollar. I should have went with the hotel I knew. I told them nightly of the issues and no apologies. Best room also had no refrigerator bc why order a Desert and have it ready for night time. I told them at the end how disappointed I was and I got a shrug.

The location was great. Close to the metro station and to the trams. Easy walking distance to excellent restaurants. My room was excellent. The property was undergoing renovation for the entire entry level lobby area. No receptionist was present. Had to ask one of the construction people if there was a receptionist around to check me in to the hotel. After waiting ten minutes or so, someone appeared. There were electric cords and paper covering all over the floor making it difficult and not safe to move around with a suitcase. The morning breakfast that was advertised turned into pre-packaged store bought breakfast items and a coffee machine. Not satisfactory when a breakfast meal was offered on the Booking site. Also, through my own fault with dates, I needed to change my arrival date. I sent the hotel a message and received a message saying I would have to manage any change with Booking.com. Then Booking.com said I would have to communicate with the hotel. After several emails, I never got a final response about changing my date of arrival. My daughter lives in Amsterdam not far from this property, and she went there to talk with them in person after no one would answer the phone when she tried to call. For the price I paid and the service I received along with the complete disarray and unsafe arrival and lobby area, I would not recommend this property at this time.

Nothing! Everything was great. Maybe would add conditioner to the shower

Very noisy when other guest came home at night

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

No breakfast Pounding, sawing, loud voices from 7 am to 7 pm. Construction mess going from elevator to front door. Refused any discount to make up for these circumstances they didn’t tell us in advance. Got one small towels, one large. Asked for a third for bath mat but never got it. Would never recommend. Also tiny room w/ toilet in bedroom. Highest price if any place we stayed in Netherlands.

I thought the bathroom was seperated from the bed but there was no seperator. A simple seperator would fix it all

It was a great location and the room size was wonderful for the 3 of us. The neighborhood is amazing, great restaurants and shops. The staff was great considering the circumstances. The fact that it was underconstruction of a full renovation. The bar was completely unavailable. It would have been nice to know that the property was underconstruction with a full renovation. The lobby was barely useable. The bar was completely torn up. Lots of noice from early to late. The staff was great! The noice and the construction was just overwhelming.
