Very friendly reception. Lovely location for evening meal. Breakfast was appalling. It took ages to arrive. Staff spent more time on the phone than attending to guests.

We enjoyed our tapas dinner but service was very slow Breakfast was a disaster because there weren’t enough staff on duty. We waited 40 mins for a cooked breakfast, the wrong order partially turned up disappointing our table neighbours and in the end, we gave up. The couple of staff appeared exhausted and certainly did not or were not able to deal with any request for cooked food. We also wondered if numbers of chef were insufficient to cope with the evening and morning orders.

Beautiful village pub, great food and wonderfully friendly staff. -

The breakfast was superb, particularly the selection such as eggs royale. Cooked to perfection. We were surprised on entering the bedroom because it had a second room with sofa and TV with a view across to the river.

Comfortable Room that could be accessed via side entrance from the car park as well as from the bar/restaurant. Popular Restaurant with locals and we enjoyed a really nice meal during our overnight stay. Garden to the front of the property the other side of the country lane. Easy access to/from the A303. £20 charge for our dog to stay overnight which was debited in advance of stay. Service charge levied in restaurant despite having to order at bar with table number. Message sent immediately on booking to encourage benefits of booking direct which I found somewhat offensive to customers who regularly use booking.com etc. Average Breakfast.

Staff, as ever, are very helpful and friendly. Facilities in room are good, small details such as USB sockets in wall are very useful The decor is getting tired and there are signs of significant aging in the room, although acknowledge it is difficult to keep on top of this for an old building.

Beautiful Country inn, with very well appointed rooms, really friendly staff, and an excellent bar and restaurant, with a great selection of food and drinks. I will definitely book again.
