The beds were very comfortable....

WiFi was weak and difficult to connect to; basically worthless.

Location and breakfast were very good. One of the coffee machines was nonfunctional and contrary to popular belief most of the coffee when these auto grind machines is average at best. It was over run with dogs. When you see people walk their pooch 20/30 feet out the front door and let them piss and poop, it will never meet my expectations nor will it pass the smell test. As we were leaving I also saw an individual on their cell phone with their shorts down around their knees and all of his boxers showing, complete public garbage.

Great place. Clean, nice room and pet fee was reasonable. Texas Roadhouse across the parking lot. Breakfast was terrific.

This stay at the Holiday Inn Express Amarillo did much to restore our faith in Holiday Inns. Always loyal a couple of decades ago, we have had multiple experiences where Holiday Inns were run down with not-so clean carpets damp with smelly cleaning solutions, moldy grouted bathrooms and noisy window AC units. This Holiday Inn was well maintained, fresh and light with a better than average included breakfast. We have hesitated to stay in Holiday Inns for the last 10 years or so, but this stay will definitely make it more likely that we will try Holiday Inns more in the upcoming months.
