La Caretta

Άνετο δωμάτιο, καθαρό. Σε πολύ καλή τιμή για την εποχή και την τοποθεσία του. Σε ένα περιστατικό που συνέβη με το νερό η ανταπόκριση ήταν γρήγορη και αποκαταστάθηκε. Θα ξανά πηγαίναμε σίγουρα. Στα πολύ θετικά και το μπαρ που έχουν από κάτω. Εξαιρετικά ποτά σε καλές τιμές! Μικρές διορθώσεις. Μια σίτα στο παράθυρο του μπάνιου πχ θα ήταν καλή ιδέα και να είχε τζάμι στην ντουζιέρα γιατί γινόταν λίγο λούτσα μετά. Λόγω καλοκαιριού βέβαια δεν μας ένοιαζε τόσο.

Clean and tidy, lovely room

Close proximity to the beach and restaurants. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel It doesn't have 24h reception as advertised (we were told to call a mobile number if we need anything, and every time we passed by reception, there was no one there, except for when we checked in) and no shuttle option to/from airport as advertised (we asked before arrival if this can be arranged, but were told that the hotel.doesn't provide this service). Also, the description on Booking stated that the air conditioning costs 5 eur per day; however, we were charged with 7 eur per day, and no receipt provided. We asked repeatedly for a "do not disturb " sign without luck and got it eventually from other hotel guests who did not need it. Turned out to be useless, as the Vietnamese cleaner did not speak English very well, and still knocked on the door, saying that she only wanted to check the floor towel. We managed to communicate with Google translate and explained to her that she shouldn't knock on the door when she saw the sign and tipped her 5 eur. She did help with other things but didn't enter to clean the room the next day, although we removed the "do not disturb" sign from the door.. The hotel is right in the centre of Alykanas, and it is not the right place if you want to relax and enjoy quiet time in the room.. The windows overlook either the busy high street or the courtyard and the pool where there was always music on during the day, or noisy guests during the evening, so we could hear everything in the room, even.with the door shut. Our window overlooked the street, but the acces was via an external corridor, and the door opened to the courtyard.

The hotel is located in the tourist centre of Alikanas village - so it is close to all interesting places like restaurants, shops and beach. The biggest surprise was the nice aesthetic and comfort of the room - especially beds, we really loved sleeping on them! The staff was also helpful, they printed us the boarding passes and told hints about what to do around while staying here. The swimming pool was somewhat dirty (sand and sunk bees), however it was not an inconvenience for us
