Location Dirty, dated, staff knocked at 1020am asking about checkout, without an apology. Stained walls and hair in bathroom and sink

The best thing about this hotel was the location and the waffle maker. There was parking and the bus was right outside the hotel. I think many people lied when writing these reviews. I went off of what the reviews said. It was bad. The pillows had something all over them it looked like blood. When I told the guy at the first desk about it after my check in at 3pm. He said there was nothing he could do because housekeeping was gone for the day. I made my reservation on booking. Which means if I canceled I would still have to pay. When I voiced the stuff wrong in the room all he could say was "well cancelled your stay and stay somewhere else." The room had a really bad smell when I came in. I couldn't tell from what. But after spending time in the room I realized it was the bedsheets. They smelled so bad. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. As I reached for the toilet paper. There was a roach crawling on the tissue roll. I killed it and left it in the bathroom. So they can't say they haven't seen any. I was staying in room 215. The water in the middle of the night was extremely hot to be washing your hands. No matter which way you turn the faucet. The bathroom looked as if it may have had a leak. I'm not getting anything to lie for this hotel. Then the last night I was there. I go to use the microwave. Is covered in barn marks and has syrup spilled inside. I came in around 1am. I took a picture before using it. So that I didn't get blamed for anything. The guy that was working the front desk was sleeping in the lobby. I understand I work overnights as well. But he woke up. Before I could show him the picture he said he was sorry and it won't happen again. Which made me a little confused. It was if he must have been saying that a lot. Then when housekeeping was finally able to come to my room. I realized it was an elderly couple. Which made me feel bad about saying anything. The day I was checking out at 11am on the dot a young housekeeper knocked on my door saying she was there to clean.

Liked · It's in a great location on a suburban strip of many chain hotels. This one served our purposes. It's very convenient to get to events in the downtown Albany area. We left our charger there and went back a couple of days later to pick it up without issue.

Ease of check in was great, their pet fees were very reasonable, and they made traveling alone with 3 kids very easy. Their pet policy is a little restrictive compared to many.

The coziness of the room The microwave needs to be changed in room 118 bc it has had a rough time, doesn't work properly. Also the internet is not that great, had a hard time connecting properly on and off. Also, the door blocker needs to be installed. The door looks like it was forced in and was never fixed.

1. Requested a non-smoking room. The room I was in reeked of smoke. 2. Cigarette burns in both bed covers. 3. The floor hadn't been mopped and was filthy. 4. Waste basket had rotted food under the plastic bag 5. The shower faucet was loose and leaking. This hotel needs MAJOR renovations. There should be minimum standards that hotels have to meet BEFORE they can rent rooms, with frequent, unannounced inspections.

The location is good and very convenient to other stores if I needed to go out. Breakfast could've been better. I had gone with my children one morning. My children wanted milk for their cereal but they were out and the juice machine was down. Barely anything else to eat. We ended up going next door to Cumberland Farms to get something to eat instead. I do recommend for a staff member to restock during breakfast and possibly add danishes if applicable. Besides breakfast, the room itself was decent. The dresser drawers were dirty and broken. The bathroom didn't look all the way cleaned and there was mold on the shower curtain at the end. The pipes under the sink, while it was fine for those to show, there was a hole around it that was open and possibly mold or maybe dirt on the pipes.

Room was not cleaned well, there was toothpaste stains on wash room counter, rooms was not maintained and no shampoo was provided other than one small bar soap.

The room was clean and.just big enough. Plus I like the fact that there's a fridge and microwave Very practical and, it's not fare from hi87 There was no hockey on the door to lock it more. It looked like someone forced the door open and was never replaced
